The Rules.

0.) Throughout this competition...you still need to follow PokeBeach rules. Why am I even mentioning this?...

1.) OK...what is this?
This is a deck-building competition, with some very fun twists, and it is your goal to build the most creative as well the most powerful deck possible under these restrictions! These could include: using only Grass-type Pokemon, using only cards from HeartGold SoulSilver and HS: Unleashed, using only cards named "Magikarp," etc.

2.) Cool! How will my deck be judged?
Your deck will be scored by two moderators. Each will judge your deck out of twenty-five points, meaning you could earn a total of fifty points.

The points breakdown is as follows (each judge will score based off of this outline):
0-10 points: How effective and consistent is the strategy?
0-10 points: How creative is the deck? (to achieve the highest score possible here, use cards that aren't in the meta, but still somewhat interesting.)
0-5 points: How relevant is the deck's strategy in accordance to the round's theme?

For example, if two decks were submitted for the theme of spreading, and one used Kyurem as the main attacker while the other one used Tyranitar, here's a quick breakdown of the points. Just pretend they are both incredibly consistent, so we won't worry about that. Since Kyurem does 30 to everything, but Tyranitar does only 20 to most Pokemon, Kyurem would get more points for relevance to the theme. However, since Kyurem is a more popular metagame card, and Tyranitar is not used as often, the Tyranitar deck would receive more creativity points.

3.) Swag! Now how do I write my list?
Write your deck lists as if you were writing them in the Deck Garage. Neatness is vital. It looks professional, and makes the judging process quicker, so that we can bring you more rounds and more fun. When writing your list, do not cheat. Do not copy another contestant's list.

4.) Leggo! What do I do with my list after I've written it?
Send it to two of the three moderators that are judging that round. Those will be [mod]Serperior[/mod], [mod]ESP[/mod], or [mod]Futachimaru[/mod]! They'll score it, and post your score and list on the thread's first page. (These will be wiped after the round is over, so if you feel like keeping them for any reason, make sure you save your list!) During the final round, your list will be judged by all three moderators.

5.) PWN! But...do I win anything?
The winning contestant will be mentioned on the Portal page of PokeBeach, for all the other members to bow down to your legitness. Congrats.

Contestants:

After rereading, I still haven't found what the actual restrictions...

My bad, forgot to mention that everyone should post here to sign-up.

Once sign-ups are complete, the restrictions will be explained.

Each round, ESP, Futachimaru and I will switch off. For the first round, ESP and I will judge. The next Futachi and I will judge. (This may not be exact, but we'll let you guys know.)

The restrictions change each round.

Sorry guys, sign ups are already closed. It was a first-come-first-serve basis.

Also, the restrictions will be posted soon, and I presume they will be posted via portal.

Another note, to those who see this, DO NOT send your decklist until we post the restrictions. We've already been receiving decklists from several members, when we haven't even announced the limitations yet. If we were to accept your decklist right now, then, looking at our current restrictions, the people who sent in their decklist would've gotten a zero =\

well, looks like it wasn't posted to the forum portal or even posted on here for when the restrictions were made. I only found the restrictions after RaicuGirl asked me why I didn't send in a list. I don't go to the deck garage often, but I do check my user cp and the forum portal many times a day. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would have turned in a list had I known what the restrictions were, and more importantly, when the deadline was.
