Ruling Set rotation...

Do you think DP will be rotated next season?

...I was trying to come up with a deck for next season, but one thing worries me... there's a chance that DP might be rotated... so I was wondering if they did set rotation back when EX Ruby and Sapphire came out... if they did, did a similar situation occur? if so, what happened?

f dp will be rotataded we only could play with special dark and metal, cause they did no reprint of the energys!
 
Good point, meaning that DP6 will probably have basic Metal and Dark. If they are gonna make Heatran vs. Regigiggas Theme Decks, they could possibly need Basic Metal for both decks. I don't think DP will be rotated, and if it is, we will never here the end of it rofl
 
Um...since when would it matter if DP was rotated? Basic Dark and Metal energies are as they are called, basic, so wouldn't that prevent them from being rotated out, unlike special energies?

Correct me on this if I'm wrong. I started playing around Secret Wonders, and I'm still getting used to the rulings and stuff like that.


Oh, and to answer your question, DP probably won't be rotated out. They'll more than likely out the last four EX sets and them come back for the DP sets next season.
 
Umm, I just want to say this, look at all of the previous rotations, they rotated by what year they were printed in or released, so it depends what year DP was printed in...

sigh... 2007, right before worlds...
 
Uhh, it gets rotated after worlds...
So in this case cards released in 2006-2007 are going to be rotated AFTER WORLDS...

No, there isn't. The whole reason for rotating 5 last year was to get to DP-on next year.

Basic Energy cards are always Modified-legal, regardless of the set (with the standard exception for Worlds deck cards).

Well, back then with R&S, on the first rotation since it's release they cleaned out the rest of Wizard's E sets. Was that what you were asking? Anyway, my guess for next season is DP-on.

Well, don't take my word for it because I'm a Professor. I don't work at PUI, I don't know any more than the rest of you.

I'm just saying it would be incredibly person for them to rotate just one DP set, and it wouldn't fit with what they've done the last two years.

They typically rotate four sets per year. Two years ago, they only rotated three (for various reasons). Last year, they rotated five to catch up, leaving the last four EX sets and DP. This year, they rotate the normal four and we're left with DP-on.

It's not that I know what's going on, it's just that it's the only thing that makes any sense. Of course, PUI does a lot of stuff that makes no sense, so they could still surprise me.
