INTRO​
Hello PokeBeach! Your friendly neighborhood ShadowLugia here, with a fun Nuzlocke of Pokemon Emerald Version. Now, I do know that there have been a bunch of these lately, but I'm hoping mine will stand out from the crowd. Now you guys know how much I love you, but School/Life takes precedence over a Nuzlocke, so be patient with me if I don't update for a couple days or so. Anyways, I'm doing a Nuzlocke of my favorite Pokemon game, Emerald version. The theme will be Pokebeach members, of course. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

RULES​
1. You can only catch the first Pokemon you meet in each area, no exceptions. This means each route, city, cave floor, or Legendary Pokemon location is treated as one area.
2. Once a Pokemon is KO'd, it is treated as "Dead" and must be released or permanently boxed.
3. Nicknames aren't necessary, but recommended. I'm doing PokeBeach members as my theme, if you didn't see that above.
4. If you white out, it's game over, meaning that you have to start all over again. Woopee.
5. Legendary Pokemon are allowed.

And so, without further ado, let's get to it!

DAT GAMEPLAY​

Chapter 1​
Chapter One: Just a Small Town Girl Boy, living in a Lonely World Unspecified Land Mass​

So yeah, we begin. Professor Birch materializes in my wet dream and talks to me about the magical world of Pokemon! Oh joy! I name myself Daft (If you don't know why, you really need to talk to me more) and I am shrunk to a hamster-looking body ratio and begin my journey. So, I find myself in the back of a mysterious moving van surrounded by boxes. Needless to say, I am little worried. However, I am reassured when the van stops, and I am let out into a pleasant-looking village. My mother is right there, excited about our current move. She shows me into the house, where some surly-looking Vigoroth are moving our utilities about. I'm not sure what the thought process was on letting in two Hyper-active ape Pokemon into our household, but I digress. So, after I set my clock, my mom suggests I meet my next door neighbor. Couldn't hurt. So I stroll over to the mirror image of my house and go inside, only to meet another friendly mother. She suggests I meet her daughter, who is upstairs. Ooh-la-la. I head upstairs, only to see a lone Pokeball sitting on the floor. My interest is piqued, so I investigate, only to be interrupted by May, my neighbor. We really hit it off, to say the least. Sadly, she remembers that she needs to do some fieldwork, and proceeds to sit in front of her computer. :/ I am disappointed, but I press on. As I head outside, I see a little girl standing alone at the entrace to the nearest route. Naturally, I ask what's going on. She states that she hears scary noises from up ahead, so, being the fearless gangster that I am, I take approximately 5 steps forward, and find Professor Birch being attacked by a wild Pokemon! Le gasp! He begs for me to open his pack lying on the ground, and get a Pokemon to fend off the mighty Zigzagoon that could tear his throat out at any minute! After much thought, I choose Mudkip, and later nickname it Lenny. Lenny was one of my first friends on PB, those many years ago, so I find it necessary to name my first Poke after him. I herd you liek Lennyz? :D With the terrible meme out of the way, I easily KO the masked bandit known as Zigzagoon. After the incident, the professor invites me to the lab, where he gives me the Mudkip! How thoughtful. He then asks me if I'd like to battle his daughter, May. What a coincidence! Relatives in a town with three buildings! [/sarcasm] I've got nothing better to do, so I head out to Route 101. I don't meet anything, which is good, since I can go later if I need a backup Pokemon. I pass through Oldale town, receiving a free potion along the way. The Nuzlocke catch rule isn't in effect until I get Pokeballs, so I can freely level grind a bit before facing my rival. I catch up to her, and defeat her dreaded Tree Gecko without much difficulty. She's surprised by my skill (lol) and tells me to meet her back at the lab. I rush back, and greet both Professor Birch and May with a smile on my face. Birch is happy that May and I are getting along, and notes just how awesome of a trainer I am. Yes, you know what's coming. He gives me a special device, a Pokedex, and asks me to catch and befriend Pokemon around the world! Do I have a choice? Of course not. May gives me a couple of PokeBalls to start with, and after giving my mom proper goodbyes, I set off on my real Pokemon journey! What will unfold? Find out next time!

Chapter 2 - pffffffffffft​

Alright, we're back. So I begin my journey. I head to route 103 to catch my first Pokemon, not running into anything on route 101, which, like I said before, is good in case I need a backup. My first encounter is a Male Lv. 4 Poochyena, which I easily catch. Alas, I forget to nickname it, which I'll be able to do anyways. I grind Mudkip and Pooch a bit, and then head to Route 102. I poke around the grass a bit, hoping for something like a Ralts or Lotad, but I sadly find a similar Lv. 4 Male Poochyena. I don't really want it, so I battle it with my own Pooch for the Exp. But guess what? It kills me with a critical hit. Great. So I go to Lenny and figure I might at well catch it as a replacement. I do, and I box my old Pooch. I remember to Nickname this one, so I give it the name Delta, because Delta's favorite Pokemon is Mightyena. So I continue on, battling Bug Catchers and Lads/Lasses, and with only two Pokemon to receive Exp, I get them to a good level. I head to Petalburg city and talk to my dad (I actually have a father in this game? What madness is this?), and then some Pseudo-ginger kid walks in and asks for a Pokemon. Well Herp-de-frickin-Derp. We go back to Route 102 and catch a lovely Ralts. I bid goodbye to both Wally and my dad, and continue to Route 104. I head into the grass not knowing what to expect, and I encounter a Lv. 5 Marill. Not bad, in all honesty. And it has a stellar Huge Power ability and Adamant nature. Baws. With such a cute and powerful Pokemon, Bippa is the only name that justifies how awesome of a Pokemon this is. So I battle everyone on the beach and on the trail, including the fisherman and his incredible splash Magikarp. I go into Petalburg forest and browse around for items. The first Pokemon I meet, to my surprise, is a Shroomish. Yay! I catch it, name it Safari after the main man himself, and grind it a bit for the fun of it. So I continue on until I meet a Devon researcher amongst the Bug Catchers, who is assaulted by a mysterious Team Aqua Grunt who is demanding for the researcher's belongings! I defeat him and his Poochyena easily, and the Researcher gives me a Great Ball as thanks. I exit the dark forest, and I begin to walk along Route 104 once again. There are some trainers to battle, and after a leisurely walk across the bridge and some berry picking, I make it to Rustboro city. I heal up at the Pokemon center, buy some goodies in the mart, and head to the Gym, taking in the scenery as I go. With my Mudkip and Shroomish in tow, I easily defeat the Gym Trainers. I eventually battle Roxanne, and finish the battle with Mudkip before I can even get a chance to blink. During the battle, my Mudkip had reached Level 16, and evolves into a Marshtomp as soon as the battle is over! As I return outside with my head held high, I see another Team Aqua member scramble away with some important-looking papers, and the researcher I met earlier runs after him in a panic! What's going on? Looks like you'll have to find out next time!

It's going nice so far! The only thing I can say is that you may want to change the nicknaming sequence of your Pokemon. TBH, I thought you could do much better than this. I think you should do something out of the ordinary, so yours is more viewed (and not forgotten). Maybe something that interests you, unless the members of Pokebeach really interest you :p. It's not too big of a problem, I just find this nicknaming sequence done too many times. It's a little old.
 
I agree, but I figured that the nicknaming system was generally the most liked by the general members. I can change it when I get to the name rater (which isn't too far), but I'd like to hear some suggestions.
 
Awesome. S-L jumped on the Nuzlocke bandwagon.

I'm gonna be watching this so make sure I get named.

Why u steal the game I wanted to Nuzlocke?

Good Luck with your Nuzlocke though, I can't wait to watch considering Emerald is my favorite game too. And one final thing, don't let people critisize you for lieking Mudkipz.
 
Updated with episode 2! I know it's just as long as the last one guys; I tried to shorten it. If you guys prefer, I can add some commentary to parts of the Nuzlocke to make it more entertaining, but the chapters would be a lot longer. Thoughts?
 
Marill is awesome. Just like me.

The only thing its missing now is physical Water STAB. I guess I better learn to like you, so that my Returns will be strong.
 
I actually didn't explain earlier why I named Marill Bippa; I fixed it. Make sure to comment guys.
