Hi, In my Miasma wind deck (Leafeon/Roserade) I have Espeon MD so that it can give my Leafeon 20+ HP but i was thinking wouldn't it be smarter to use Shaymin Lv. X cause it would give +40 HP to both Leafeon and Roserade? I know it's an opinion but what do you guys think because i am trying to perfect this deck before regionals plus i was thinking of selling Shaymin but if it's better i will keep it. Please tell me what you think!

espeon takes up an eevee, then also it only gives +20

shaymin takes no eevees, and it give +40 but you would have to use and unown q to lvl up then retreat or just put the energy on it. i would recomend energy blow shaymin for the 0 energy cost just in case you start with him

why not both :D +60hp
haha but as stated above the main problem is getting shaymin out, level'd then back
but if you have Q's or warp point, switch then thoes would work (although Q would be best as it's the only one that's searchable)

Shaymin, for sure.
You don't want to use up your Eevees, and while it's tough to get the X out, the extra 20 HP is worth it. Gyara+E-Belt can no longer OHKO you. You need 5 T/S/S in-hand to be OHKO'd by VileGar. And without any extra help (Crobat G/E-Belt/PlusPower), there's no way for Jumpluff to OHKO you. Decks that typically hit the magic 110 just don't do as well once you get that extra HP.

Ok thats what i was thinking and lucky me i just got a reverse rare and regular rare Energy Blow Shaymin in the same pack! :D (which also kinda stinks...) Anyway I have switch in the deck but maybe I should just replace those two with two Unown Q's

Use both. I run both in my Leafmin deck and it works well. Try both and see how long Leafeon can last.

Espeon MD is mainly used just in Eeveelution decks, to give everything a bunch of fun plusses. But in a deck that's predominantly {G} all over, Shaymin LV.X is by far your best bet, because it will be on the bench almost right away, and will make all your grass types practically unkillable. Against sniping, it'll take Gengar 3 Shadow Rooms plus a Bite to kill it (run Energy Blow over Celebration Wind), and Garchomp 1 Rush plus 2 Bites.

If you have room you can try both, but definitely prefer Shaymin over Espeon.

Don't use the Energy Blow one, especially in this deck. Use Shaymin UL because with all the energy building up on Roserade you can just move it off to a more useful Pokemon with it's PokePower.

^Wrong. The name of the card is still "Shaymin"; it works fine regardless of your base.

Energy Blow and Celebration Wind are the most common; I would only recommend Energy Blow over Celebration Wind if your meta is Gengar-heavy.

whaaaaaaat...i thought it would just be a common sense thing... like "naaaaw man that is skymin and that is landmin you cant mix them"....i really need to go to bed lol O_O

You'd assume that, yes, but there is nothing distinguishing the two; they're all named "Shaymin" so you can only have 4 total in a deck.
This question was already addressed in the Platinum set FAQ (when Platinum Prereleases were going on), so this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Now go to sleep.

Hmmm... I tried to play a Leafeon/Roserade deck once, it didn't go that well xD. But anyway, in my deck I used a Landmin LvX and a Leafeon LvX. Add in an expert belt and your 90hp becomes 170hp. The only problem is that 2 LvX's could be a bit messy (especialy since there's only one you really want active). Personally, I would go with Shaymin LvX if you ever plan on bringing up a Roserade from the bench, but there's no reason not to include both cards you mentioned.

A thought that just occured to me just now is to run 4 RR Eevee's, 1 Espeon MD, 3 Leafeon UD and a Leafeon LvX. Eevee has a zero energy attack which allows you to search for 2 eeveelutions and put them in your hand (IIRC), Assuming you can get out 2 Eevee's asap, you should be able to get it to 110hp by turn 2. Once Leafeon LvX comes out, it becomes 130hp, and if you want to belt it you get a not so shabby 150hp.

The other advantages to Leafeon LvX (sorry I keep going on about Leafeon LvX) are that it's power allows you to attach 2 energies per turn (which goes well with Roserade), and it gives it a somewhat decent 2nd attack if you cant get the energy needed to ko an opponent for one turn

If I were to play this deck, I would personally go with both if you have the room. If not, stick to Espeon, Leveling up Shaymin is an issue, to make it work well, you would need to play Switch or Warp Point. I always find it hard to level up techs, IDK that is just me though. Espeon is on your bench all the time, doesn't have to leave. Umbreon MD might be worth considering, it doesn't give you boosted HP, but eliminating the weakness to Blaziken is key to success.

^its not that hard to lvl up. i run shaymin x in my jumpluff and when a jumpluff dies send out shaymin lvl up attach energy and retreat. easy as that. and if they have leafeon x its send up shaymin lvl up attach retreat then send out leafeon lvl up or what ever and then attach a second one

^You retreat with energy? Ouch. Unown Q?

Anyway, try using both. You could even run BTS/Skuntank G(though nobody does). It isn't hard to pull off if the right cards are in your hand.

^i dont have any unown q's....but even with energies it really easy. and i refuse to buy cards now that will just be rotated since most likly i wont be going to any regionals or nationals....
