Shiftry can set up in one turn thanks to Forest of Giant Plants. And with just a DCE, Shiftry can attack for 120 if both players have the same number of cards in their hands. At first this card seemed underwhelming, but now I've seen that it can put an incredible amount of pressure on your opponent early-on, and consistently take 2HKO's on bulky Mega Pokemon. Shiftry can also make Stadiums and Tool cards ineffective during your opponent's turn.
Garbodor makes some matchups a lot easier. Particularly, I think it's the only good check for Volcanion at the moment. It also helps out against BKT Yveltal, ensuring Float Stone and Bursting Balloon work.
