Shiny Alola Pokémon - What will they look like?

A very exciting moment when playing through a Pokémon game, is finding and catching a shiny Pokémon, and there’s no doubt about Shiny Pokémon being included in Sun and Moon as well! But what would the Shiny Alola Pokémon look like? Choose a Pokémon and use a recolouring tool, to show what your optimal Shiny Alola Pokémon would look like, and explain why you’ve chosen the colours you did. If you don’t have a recolouring tool available, feel free to explain what your optimal Shiny Alola Pokémon would look like - and what it definitely shouldn’t look like!

In case you need some inspiration, I’ve provided a few examples of you to check out!

I'm incompetent with recolouring and editing stuff so here are a few of my wants:
Popplio - I'd like to see that with it's main body being lighter blue, with it's white patches going dark blue.
Yungoos/Gumshoos - it's body becoming white with their stripe and hair becoming dark brown. (or maybe not... that could make it look similar to Linoone)
Pyukumuku - pink body with green spikes/eyes
Oricorio - its body colour (for all the forms) becomes paler

may edit with other things later

This actually sounds really interesting! Do you think the organ would change colour as well, or would it stay that white'ish colour?

Another thing I thought of, was that I think it would look cool if Sandygast and Pallossand were white in their shiny forms. The sand would look like it came from one of those pretty white beaches, but I also think they would look like typical sheet ghosts, which would look cute! I might make them a little later, when I don't have so much homework to do :p

Isn't there a formula for what the shiny look of a Pokemon will be? I know this was the reason so many blue Pokemon had pink shinies.

@thegrovylekid @King Xerneas It never existed. I've seen people claiming that but ever since gen III (the one I'm more experienced with hacking-wise) there are separate data tables for regular and shiny colors and it is possible to change the shiny palette without touching the original one. But yeah, after the transition to 3D models, each Pokémon got a shiny texture also independent from its regular texture.

Shiny Solgaleo needs to be gold. It just needs to be.
Idk, about Solgaleo being gold, I'm assuming it's related to the alchemy theme, but still. We saw both forms of Hoopa turn into gold, and I don't really think they look that well. Not saying Solgaleo would look bad as gold, but I think the white turning black, or the yellow "extensions" turning blue would look awesome as well!

I'd actually not given it that much thought :p I think it might look good if it was black though.

I think shiny Solgaleo might look quite nice with a silver body and the yellow patches going blue.
Lunala could work with a silvery colour as well, maybe a dark silvery-grey would look nice.

I'm quite curious about Alolan Shinies, too. It'll be exciting to see.

And there's one other thing I'm also excited about: Alolan Form Shinies!
Like, how will Shiny Alolan Vulpix/Ninetales look like? Maybe pink and white...?
And what about Shiny Alolan Meowth? Greyish blue?

What do you think?

So I finally got time to make my shiny versions of Sandygast and Palossand, as well as @His Goominess shiny Pyukumuku idea (hopefully it's what you imagined it would look like) :p

The thing I'm wondering about with these Alolan Forms, are will the ones having a similar colour scheme to the original, like Exeggutor or Raichu, have a similar shiny or will they look completely different? Also regarding the completely different Alolan Forms, will their shinies be based of their original counterparts shinies? I personally wouldn't want a green shiny Alolan Marowak or an Alolan shiny Meowth with barely any change in colour :/

I'm absolutely loving these! Especially Sandygast and Palossand! If they look something like that, those would be Shinies I'd be aiming to get. Anyways, I thought of a few ideas for some shiny Pokemon, and what they may look like. Here are some of my ideas:

-Minior's outer shell could have a much lighter outer shell, maybe even white. While the core of each respective color gets a couple shades darker.
-Cutiefly's hair goes brown, with some flecks of yellow in the mixture as well.
-Rockruff's fur goes much lighter, and the rocks around its collar, and at the top of its ears go white.

These may seem like boring ideas to you, but I'd absolutely love to see any of these! :D

Popplio - I'd like to see that with it's main body being lighter blue, with it's white patches going dark blue.

I hope both of you like what you requested :p
Personally I really like all of these! I think Jangmo-o or Cutiefly are my favourites, but all of them look super good!

The thing I'm wondering about with the reveal yesterday is: Will Type: Null be available as a shiny? I'm basing this question solely out of the fact, that I'm assuming Gladion has the only Type: Null in the games. Either way, I think its shiny will look interesting, since it seems like it's made up of different "Pokémon" bodyparts, which (I assume) each have their own original shiny colour :p

Awesome! I love them! Pretty much spot on to what I was thinking in my head!

So uh, how would Shiny Minor work? Would the shell be a different color, with the core staying the same, or would it be in reverse? Or will it just be like Rotom and be its own shiny, regardless of core?

That's a tough one, I feel like it could go either way really. I definitely could see them either go a lighter shade of the original colour for each core and the shell, or have the shell/core change but not the other, like you said, but the Rotom possibility is definitely also a possibility, though I feel like some might be kinda disappointed to see all of them be one colour, so they might just go with the first option :)
