So I was practicing my chaining, and I was on a chain of three. I thought I saw a shiny patch, and I figured, "Meh. It's not like I chained much, so let's go for it." I looked at it and bam! A shiny Smeargle. What are the chances of this?

Assuming you chained in XY... At a chain of three, the odds are 1/3641. While it's very rare, the chances are still less than the usual 1/4096. Assuming you don't have the shiny charm. Congrats on your catch!
