Helllo, I always played Pokemon when I was younger, but I was looking through my collection the other day and I saw a few cards with considerable value. Should I get them PSA graded?

Cards:
Full Art Mew EX: Legendary Treasures Radiant Collection - I've always been a collector, for my birthday at least 4 years ago, I got a Legendary Treasures Radiant Collection booster box. Almost directly after I opened this card I put it into a sleeve in my binder. It has left maybe once or twice. I can see no visible marks or scuffs on it, even when viewed up close. Looks pack fresh.

Full Art Landorus EX: Black and White - Same thing as abovc really, looks pack fresh.

Full Art Secret Rare Reshiram: Legendary Treasures Radiant Collection - This card has sat sleeved in my binder from the minute I opened it. Recently went back and double sleeved it.Heck, I've been keeping this card so safe it has its own page to itself. I can't see how it wouldn't get 10/10 graded.

Other Less Notable Cards:

Full Art Xerneas EX
Full Art Skarmory EX
Full Art Meloetta EX
Mega Charizard EX

I strongly believe that all cards on this list will get a PSA grade of 9 or 10 as they have has as little contact with the outside as is physically possible.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can definitely get them graded if you feel 100% about the grades you will receive. Unfortunately, the Reshiram card isn't really worth much. I have two and I only keep them because I love the artwork.

Other than that, the others, such as M Charizard EX would get higher values if graded (depending on the print since it was reprinted 3 times in the XY era).

PS. Most of the time, a card that you think will get a 10 will usually be a 9. Some cards can go straight from booster pack to sleeve to graded and get a 9. Just hope you get a grader who isn't as hard on the grades as others! Just my opinion. Take it as you may :)

What website do you use to check card prices? I use TCGPlayer and it has golden reshiram at $35 market price

I'm slow, I didn't see you put the Secret Rare Golden version at first. I thought you meant the Radiant Collection Reshiram. My bad!

Then by all means, yes, the golden Reshiram can be very valuable if graded at a very high grade! At a NM 9, they can be worth around $100 but if you do get that Gem Mint 10, you could probably see values up to $300.

I use a mixture of different sites and I average all the prices out to get my values because I feel you can't get a value just off one site when all sites are different. I look at how much the card is selling for on those sites and average them together to get my value. Graded cards are harder to value so I usually check Ebay but when I average the prices out, I normally knock about 25-40% off the average price because let's face it, Ebay sellers can be greedy and will sell cards at high prices when they aren't worth more than the paper stock they are printed on. For standard cards that don't hold a lot of value, TCGPlayer is usually what I use.

For a grade of 10, not only does it need to be in perfect condition (the easy part) but it has to be printed perfectly.

There's usually a section called 'margins'when grading... and if the card wasn't sat perfectly aligned down to the micrometer when it was printed/stamped then it will be ever-so-slightly off center, and that's where most 10's become 9-9.5's

PSA is fairly lenient with centering as long as it's 40% of the border on one side and 60% on the other it'll still get a 10

Also pretty sure 9.5s don't exist

1. PSA is better for value of the card
2. He was asking about PSA itms literally in the title of the thread

I was making a blanket statement about grading in general. I think he gets the point.

And BTW, you treat your opinion as if its fact, nice. PSA is just a company for grading. Beckett is just as good, and some people prefer them and will give higher value to their grades. Its personal preference, man
