BW/BW2 Should we get customizable apparel?

Wouldn't it be great if we could select the shirts, pants, and shoes for our trainer? Or select your hat and hair. I can't stand the clothes that the male wears. This probably won't happen but it is a nice thought. Don't you think you would get smelly?

What would you guys think? Just a thought. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I know you can change your sprite for online communications. But what if you could have it stay the same and use it outside of WiFi.

That would be awesome, I hate it when you have to look at the character in the same clothes everytime you play *sigh* this probably won't happen, but it is fun thinking about how the game would be if it was true

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they mean different trainer sprites (in other words, what your friends' sprites look like in the Union Room in Gen 4)? I hope there aren't too many clothes options imo, as I don't want it turning into a game like The Sims. Don't get me wrong, Sims is a good series, I just don't want to customise my main character too much (maybe that's just cos I'm a boy, I dunno :S).
 
Or you could start out with the default clothes and you can pay money for clothes as you progress in the game.
 
Yeah, I know. But I think the WiFi thing is a step in the right direction. They might give us customizable characters in the next game. I don't expect it in B&W, they would have revealed that by now.
 
I'm a guy too, but I simply can't stand how the male sprite looks. I hate his hair and his clothes.

I think Nintendo should stop making more and more Pokemon and moves, I think they should focus on touching up other things. Like, the antagonist is ALWAYS a team or your rival. Maybe introduce a new enemy? ...and the plot is always the same. Get your gym badges and defeat the Elite Four. I just think the games need a plot change. It is ALWAYS the same plot.

No flame please. Just speaking my mind.
 
Oh, I would do anything for this. I'd even pay extra. Please, just a few extra hairstyles with color choice and some decent outfits. As in, no daisy dukes and sleeveless shirts for the girl. The female design in this game makes me so nauseous, it is the definition of "trailer trash". However, I'd never play as a male character given the choice. Like, ugh, why couldn't the other two kids be the male and female characters? The blonde girl and the glasses kid? They are infinitely better designs then the slutty hillbilly princess and the good ol' boy. -_-
 
i think youll only be able to switch clothes in the different seasons. to many designs would take forever to save. maybe 2 or 3 changes per season.
 
They could just let you choose between 4 to 5 pre-designed characters. That would already be an improvement.
 
Honestly, I don't care. I never hate on the designs (with the exception of Lucas...) and it's not like I pay that much attention to the tiny sprite anyway. I mean, it definitely could get annoying seeing the same person sending out your Pokemon over again, but after this long, I think GF is gonna stick with the formula.

i would really like it to happen, now i am talking about in the game, just saying. We could have a Super Mall and by our clothes there, it will be so cool, but i might get lost if the mall is really big
 
I've been waiting for customizable characters since I saw how awesome it worked out in PBR. Actually, that was the only thing I liked about that game, even though there weren't that many options to choose from.
 
Heh, customizing Pokemon should be good enough. The endless move combos and natures make for a good enough set already :p
 
It would be nice if the natures would be visible :p So that, for example, a shy poochyena would look different from a brave one. But that would be waaaay to much work for the spriters.

That would be so great! And bring back the room decoration/secret hideout thing from R/S! I loved that sooo much! All the decorations in D/P were terrible -.- Seriously, there should be a huge mall with clothing stores, item stores, room decorations, accessories, and other stuff! I love this idea *-*

Oh gosh, me too O_O It's seriously the only reason I played it, and the one and only thing it does better then Stadium 2.
 
I would like to put the clothes on the Pokemon during battle as well just because it would be funny and intimidating like Mijumaru might flinch because Tsutaja is wearing a scary mask and and a really boring old timey costume could put a Pokemon to sleep lol. But this wouldn't happen.
