So I usually enjoy reading the card texts because they are so badly worded/translated. But being an engineer, two caught my attention.
Wow. Strength measured in horsepower. An 10,000 at that. There were any number of better units they could have used. Pounds, Newtons, Nanogram parsec per decade squared, whatever. Now I suppose you could create a force deflection curve of Kingler crushing something and integrate it to get work and then convert it to power if you knew the time over which it was occurring, but that would still be dependent on the material it was crushing.
Power is measured in Watts. Not volts. Voltage is measured in volts. The unit is in the name for Arceus's sake!
So here is my suggestion. Pokemon USA should hire an under-privileged engineering student to look over all card texts for science related errors. With the way things are going, they could probably just pay him in Cheetos and Dr. Pepper. *offers his services*
I'm all for making mountains out of molehills, but have you ever thought of how the moles would feel about that?
GE Kingler card said:The larger pincer has 10,000 horsepower strength. However, it is so heavy, it is difficult to aim.
