I know this is a stupid question but if I have a trode ex
with 5 energys attached to it can I blow up the trode and attach the
energys that were attached to trode when it was blown up?

i'm pretty sure that would work. . .but not positive.
in my mind this is what happens:
1. you activate trode's power.
2. you discard trode/his pre-evolutions, and all energy/other cards on him.
3. go through your discard pile, pick the 5 energy (the ones that were on trode are now in the discard pile, and are now legal to choose.)
4. attach them to your pokemon in any way you want.

that's how i see it at any rate. i may be wrong here.
thnx.

Q. If you use Electrode-EX's Poké-POWER and Knock it out, can you search for any of the Energy cards that were attached to it that are now in the discard pile, to attach to one of your other Pokémon?
A. Yes, you may. (Oct 7, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

Rather than start a whole new thread, may I ask another simple and stupid question? If you have a dual type pokemon attacking, and the defending pokemon has a weakness AND a resistance to the two types, how is the damage calculated?

uhh
anyway

Yes you can do the trode deal.
Weakness then Resistance.

fast and easy. I just wanted to back-up what twitch_77 said. In case he wasn't 100 percent sure.

Arcanine out.
