Ruling Sky field(s)

So my fiancée is playing a deck that uses Florges EX & Exeggcute (propagation) and sky field. But there are a couple of players in our local meta who are playing the popular Rayquazza build. If they have sky field out, and she plays her own one over the top does that mean they both have to discard down to five pokemon on the bench?

I think it does, because the first sky fields ability would trigger when it is discarded even through the new one would then increase the bench back to 8 spaces instantly.

Obviously if this is so, it gives her a slight advantage as she can discard their pokemon then she can use exegete to propagate back to her hand and she can just replay them. Where as they would have to use other resource heavy means to rebuild their bench.

The answer to the question is right at the bottom of the card. "If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card"

As such, she wouldn't be allowed to play the card in the first place.

Oh ok thanks. I wan't sure if that just applied to the original owner of the card and not their opponent.

Also sorry for not posting scan. Didn't know that was a rule ^_^ Will try to remember if I have to ask again.
