Will it be viable to play Ninja Box for standard? There are 3 upcomming pokemon that would definetly fit a Ninja Box deck:
*Marshadow-GX – Fighting – HP150 Basic Pokemon
Ability: Shadow Hunt This Pokemon can use the attacks of Basic Pokemon in your discard pile. (This Pokemon must have the necessary Energy to use an attack.)
[F][F][C] Beatdown: 120 damage.
[F] One Hundred Fissures GX: 50x damage. This attack does 50 damage times the number of Basic Energy attached to this Pokemon. (You can only use 1 GX attack per game.)
-Copying every pokemon in the discard pile and 2 energy attachment? Yes! Gives another option for stalling and hits for a weakness against a lot of meta pokemons.
*Hoopa – Darkness – HP120
Basic Pokemon
Ability: Bandit Guard
Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokemon by your opponent’s Pokemon-GX and Pokemon-EX.
[D][C][C] Super Psy: 80 damage.
Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2
-More stalling power.
*Shining Mew – Psychic – HP30
Basic Pokemon
[P] Legendary Guidance: Search your deck for 2 Energy cards and attach them to your Pokemon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.
[P] Beam: 10 damage.
Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
-This little guy here is very interesting. You can attach 2 special enery with this guy meaning that you have the potential of bringing out a pokemon that can OHKO almost every pokemon in the format by turn 2. He as few hp and could cost a prize card but i guess the trade could be worth.
As the Ninja Boy deck has a weakness in standard due to the few energies available (Prism energy not legal), this little pokemon can accelerate the pace towards making the right pokemon come online.
It remains to be seen but i think a Ninja Box with some more psychic types in it (Tapu Lele after VS rotates and maybe a couple Garbodor) could be playable.
