So, I'd just recently got back from States and have really seen all the deck ideas floating around, and what could be considered 'top meta'. I ran a Flygon variant at States, but I went 1-4 because I had horrible matchups for four rounds, unfortunately. Therefore, I decided to see, what could I run at Regionals? I thought of four different decks I could use and what I have the cards for (or what I could get the cards for):
GG (Psychic Lock)
The ability to shut your opponent out of Poke-Powers is a dangerous thing. Claydol dies along with stuff like Flash Bite, Set Up, and a plethora of others. It brings devastation to many decks, but there are one or two decks that get around it.
Gyarados
This is the one I'm leaning the most toward. My biggest problem seems to be getting horrible setups too often. With Gyarados I believe the odds of that will be diminished thanks to Sableye. It has very few weaknesses except for stuff like Ampharos or Luxray GL, but he still can't be one-hit without difficulty.
Cursegar
I really have no idea how best to run Cursegar, but I realize that I have 2 Spiritomb and 1 Cursegar, so it's a possibility I might get to run it. I was thinking of the basic hit-and-run strategy, but I'll probably need to scrounge around for more cards (although not as much as I will for Gyarados).
Scizor w/Cloudy Sky Cherrim
I realized just yesterday I have 4-4 Scizor lines and 3-3 Cherrim lines. With Scizor's body on, I take -70 from everything, and with an Expert Belt he can tank almost as effectively as Turtwig GL (or something). I have a basic idea of how to run it and I will probably not need as many cards for this. Dialga G LV.X shuts it off, but I haven't seen very many of them.
Any suggestions you have will be appreciated. Post in the poll as well as in the topic if possible (if you vote Other, you need to post in the topic).
Please do not ask me to run SPs. I know that a good many SP decks are solid, however, I cannot play SPs to save my life.
I'd prefer advice from more experienced players, but any advice is appreciated.
