This was my first battleroads in about, 2 years, so I was pretty nervous.

So I decided to play Empoleon Terrakion, but I didn't have access to catcher at all, so I had to play without them, and that lost me two of my rounds :<

My deck was this: 13

4-1-4 Empoleon
3 Terrakion
1 Ho-Oh EX

Energy: 10
4 Water
4 Fighting
2 Fire

Trainers: 37
3 N
4 Cheren
3 Juniper
3 Switch
3 Pluspower
3 Revive
2 Super Rod
2 Random Reciever
3 Rare Candy
2 Energy Search
2 Ultra Ball
2 Heavy Ball
2 Pokemon Communication
3 Eviolite

Game 1 Vs Nick [Rayeels]

Now nick is the person who taught me how to play Pokemon, and playing him first round is always not something I ever want to see, he asked if I just wanted to scoop and just play a fun game, I said no and then we began, and he went first

I opened Two Terrakion and He opened Tynamo, He set a Ray Ex a Tynamo and a Thunderus, switched to thunderus and used charge

My hands terrible and I have to N, which gives him his turn 2 set up

Late Game its two Prizes to two Prizes, and if I had catcher I had game in my hand to bring up his rayquaza with 120 damage on it, to knock it out with Empoleon, but its life.

0-1

Game Two Versus Sam [Zekeels]

I play my other friend this game and it pretty much ends the same thing as Nick, I would of had game with one catcher being 2 prizes to two prizes, and then we played a game for fun where Ho-oh EX won me my last two prizes.

0-2

Game 3 Vs Registeel

So my luck turns around and I get to play something I can demolish, but I mull 5 times, and Open a lone Ho-oh Ex, I get to go first and then after me hard attaching 3 times to ho-oh Ex I I get to shoot his Registeel with a pluspower in my hand and grab two prizes, the next turn I do it again, he then brings up groundon Ex and I candy my benched piplup, empoleon, energy search, diving draw to topdeck switch and pluspower for game.

1-2

Game 4 Vs Mewtwo Eels

Read my other eel matchups,

1-3

Game 5 Vs Zebrastrike Garbedor

He gets a slow start and 2 disconnects off, but on turn 3 I had 3 empoleon and 2 terrakion out, I roll for ho-oh and start one shotting everything he has.

2-3

Game 6 Vs Mew/Accelgor/Gothitelle/Darkrai

Empoleon Terrakion is a very trainer heavy deck, and being locked out, paralyzed and poisoned every turn just completely demolished me.

2-4

So yeah I do pretty bad for my first Battleroads in a long time, I didn't get anything but I got to play and experienced the meta.

That sounds like my first battle road.
Why run ho oh?
All it can do in that deck is 80 damage.

Registeel is popular in my area, and both Empoleon and Terrakion can't one Shot it, I wanted something that could shoot it for a KO, and I did end up playing against that deck, It was also a good shaymin EX counter against all the darkrai that teched it against terrakion, it also has Synergy with the deck, because Empoleon can pitch Ho-Oh with Diving Draw, and then Ho-oh can come out, and Fill a Bench space for it.
