what is the difference between cant be affected by special conditions and is not affected by any effect other than damage?

Also, lets say im poisoned, and i attach a GL energy to my active pokemon already attached with a grass energy, would the special condition disappear?

First question, special conditions will not be affectedd by WP or GL if you have the neccessary energy already attached. Different effects are ONLY stopped by WP. Other effects could be "discard an energy attached to one of your pokemon, discard the top card of your deck, switch the Defending pokemon with one of your bench, etc, etc, etc but only from attacks. All they can do to you is damage if you have WP with Water attached. GL stops conditions specifically. 2nd question no it would not go away if you attached it after you were affected by a Condition. You would already have to have it attached. Hope it helped, ;)

dmaster out.

WP energy protects you from getting special conditions ( and lot more stuff) via attacks but does not make you immune to them. So a pokemon with water + WP could still be poisoned via a poke-power for instance ... and would not be cured if he was already poisoned before putting down the WP energy.

GL energy makes a pokemon immune to conditions. If a pokemon with grass energy attached is already poisoned and you attach a GL energy then he is cured. It protects from special conditions via attacks and powers ... but GL doesn't stop a lot of the other stuff WP does like deevolution, damage counters, etc.
