Hopefully with the music and plot revamps, they might be able to get it right this time. When I heard the first news of this musical, I was like: "How are they going to do this?" Being a HUGE Spider-Man fan, I have hopes to see it one day. Maybe I'll like it, maybe I won't. It seems cheesy, but that's Broadway for ya.
I used to be a Spider-Man fan, until Joe Quesada showed up and ruined him with "One More Day"
and the "Marvel Civil War" Arc, and If that wasn't enough Sony (not Sam Riami) ruined Spider-Man 3 and dropped the franchise altogether for a movie reboot especially since Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were
tired of playing Peter Parker and MJ. Topher Grace also didn't do Eddie Brock/Venom any justice either.
Now Marvel tries to give us an apology with this Broadway Musical? Do they seriously think we're idiots or something? Regardless of their business decisions especially DC Comics with their franchise reboot I've never been this disappointed as a American comic book fan. Next I hear that Spider-Man is going to die to the Green Goblin in the Marvel Ultimate series, why not do the same for the Mainstream Marvel Spidey as well...
