I've seen a lot of talk about "split evolutionary lines" With Denchura as either and Ariados or spinarak evolution.
Which got me thinking.
Isshu is a brand new place far away from every other region we've been to.
So, even though this is highly unlikely...
I think it'd be really cool if we had split lines that worked, a bit differently.
For example.
Ekans, just a normal snake? yes? Well what if an Ekans in Isshu evolved into something different than arbok?
If Pikachu evolved into something other than Richu, without the use of a thunderstone, or something along those lines.
I know this is very unlikely, but I think it'd be kindof cool.
any thoughts?
EDIT: If something like this happens, i'd hope that they made it so pokemon could only evolve into the split lines in the respective regions. IE Ekans to arbok in the original regions. Ekans to (snakething) only in isshu and surrounding regions.
EDIT II: Ok so i'm not being super clear, these would be evolutions that differ because of the environment, like a bird species being different on different continents. (thanks to liljes for understanding.)
