I've been thinking about a deck that can utilise the Cat's Gathering ability of the upcoming Persian from Unbroken Bonds and below are the results of what I came up with. (Because everything is better with cats, right?)
There are two cats with the Cat Day attack that also have attacks which synergise well with a spread strategy:
The basic idea is to start spreading with Koko and Glameow using DCE/TCE and Persian's ability respectively. Then, you can amplifiy some of that damage with Espurr without having to worry about energy attachments and can even take KOs with it if you need to. Promo Lele is the usual finisher, like with most spread decks.
One of the bigger counters of the deck is stall with Vileplume and Shuckle, although I guess you can try to tech a Meowstic that also has the Cat Day attack and can kill a Vileplume relatively easily with the 2nd attack:
and/or you can also tech the Make 'Em Pay Persian. A bigger problem will be the super tanky Melmetal&Lucario variants which I believe are unwinnable for most spread decks, since between Metal Goggles, Frying Pan, Metal Core Barrier, Full Metal Wall-GX and Acerola you are basically unable to touch them. Sadly, even Litten can't help you out with that because the frying pan removes weakness. I guess depending on which bad MU you want to tech against, you can tech TEU Mr. Mime and Field Blower instead of Meowstic and Make 'Em Pay.
Ability: Cats’ Gathering
Each of your Pokemon in play with a Cat Day attack pay no Energy to use their attacks.
