Can you use Aqua Recycle to search for a Multi/Rainbow energy?

Starmie's power reads:
You may search your discard pile for a {W} energy card and put it into your hand.

While in the discard, Multi Energy and Rainbow Energy aren't all types of energy. Same goes while they're in the deck. The only time they'd be considered any specific type of energy is when they're attached. And because of their effects, anything that happens to a specific energy will effect them.

So to answer your question, no you can not.
