Uxie, Pokemon Collector, Azelf, and Bebe's Search are really basic cards you'll need.

Try looking in the Deck Garage for good decks.

Dialga G + Garchomp C is a good combo, as with Vileplume UD + Spiritomb AR + Gengar SF, as well Luxray GL + Garchomp C.

Meh, I didn't see any really good category for it.

Thanks for the recommendations btw. I think I have Azelf and a couple of Bebe's Search already.

General TCG Discussion is better.

dmaster out.

Meh, since I was starting Competitive TCG, it should go in the competitive category...

Anyways, more suggestions?

Well you're STARTING...

As for the overplayed decks, the best one for a new player would be Blaziken FB X+Garchomp C X because it's pretty cheap, easy to play, and does well. You could always go for Vileplume UD+Gengar SF, but you don't grasp the concept of how useful trainers are, unless you count seeing your opponent very frustrated in Trainer lock as learning how useful they are :p but yea, if you want to play a deck that is VERY overplayed, go for one of the two. Everything else is either too hard to play, too expensive, or too boring...*Cough*Gyarados*Cough*

So far I am planning on using Undaunted Scizor + this Electivire for my first competitive deck. Either of them good cards?

Yes it is Scizor Prime and if that is the case does anyone know any good combos or cards that go with him?

In a Scizor prime deck i would play these cards :
Ambipom G (PL) move sp. energy cards
Schaymin UL / Lucians assigment
maybe skarmory (i think its form UD) - the one that is giving metal energies to pokemon
a tech on dialga LV.x (which stops Scizors poké-body) i think blaziken FB lv.X maybe ?
and then cards like ditto la , umbreon UD etc. but thats how its in your meta , when there are many gengar decks - umbreon many kingdra decks - ditto etc.

Also that electivire you have is useless cuz now you can play cards form Majestic Dawn up
GL in your ptcg career

Only Majestic Dawn up? Doesn't help that much, most of my cards are from lower ones..

And any recommendations for trainer cards? This is my deck so far:

X2 Scizor Prime

X2 Bebe's Research

energy exchanger - to exchange metal energies for special metal, pokemon communication to get ur pokemans, expert belt for extra power, luxury ball to get out pokemanz (like scizor prime)

well you're going to need a Scyther. MD Scyther is pretty decent, though any legal Scyther would do. Skarmory UD or Sableye SF to set up.

On the t/s/s line

Pokemon Collector (HGSS)
bebe's Search (RR)
Pokemon Communication (HGSS)
Expert Belt (AR)
Palmer's Contribution (SV)

Those are the main t/s/s you'll need.

Have Bebe's Research for sure and I may have Pokemon Collector.

@Avacado Sounds like a need for a Scizor deck, so I'll get it!

Also who thinks I should use Bastiodon in my deck? Since its a steel deck and all.

^What he said. Unless you're pairing them just because you need a side attacker because your main attacker is unsteady (Like Steelix Prime, Scizor Prime makes the perfect addition) then don't pair the same type. Although Bastiodon MT would've been nice in this deck (Protects your whole bench)

Also, Bebe's search is also MT, so you can use it from that set.
