yo people lucario here for my second article on the pokebeach if you want to see my first article the link will be here: http://pokebeach.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=94248 now then if you don't mind i'm goin 2 talk bout some decks.

So as you've probably heard lostgar is getting more and more hyped with every day, every article and every top cut it does. The meta got shifted once the european challenge cup came along and you can see a video about that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUc1vzwlQgI&feature=player_embedded this also shows that rogue decks like mangne/rock are starting to see play and being honest the sooner the format goes away from SP the better it's just too overpowered with the cyrus engine, luxray X and garchomp X.

so by now you're probably thinking either A: ive heard all this before you noob or B: lostgar is only compatiable with people so here's how i see the format shaping itself:

lux/chomp til september will remain in the no.1 spot for disruption and loads of tech room as its fast and effective having good matchups around the board if you want to find out about SP in general click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2U34YL1wM4 this will roughly give you a guide onto how good SP cards are for those people who are just unaware or are new to the game.

lostgar will rise up to that no.2 spot in my opinion of course with the right list lost world win can be done effectively with a trainer lock making the meta slower so that when six pokemon are removed you can win as well as being fast in the first 6 or so turns. problems i see with lostgar is that everyone will tech vs him because he is so hyped so dark pokemon like honchkrow SV in sablelock and weavile G in SP can ruin lostgar's chances for sucess, if you want a good counter for these guys perhaps running a fighting type might give you the advantage over the pesky dark types.

vilegar will remain at no.3 for the sheer fact that hand locking is so effective in the current standards of the game, as well as when sf gengar dies it has a chance of taking the revenge killing pokemon with it this sometimes leaves you without a counter for psychic pokemon which can overall make you lose the game. its a strong deck but it's not unbeatable!

dialga/chomp is next up at no.4 and you might be wondering hey where is gyarados, the reason he isn't on here is because with the release of lost world many players are finding that their magikarps get removed seriously crippling the deck making for a lack of play. dialga/chomp might be a good choice for week 2 at states and is slowly gaining popularity for its gengar resistance being able to shut off important bodies and locking trainers it wouldn't be that bad of a choice to use.

machamp variants are no.5 for their excellent typing against luxray GL and being able to knock SP out in one hit although the heavy psychic use might give machamp some trouble but overall if your matchups are right you could take the next states medal!

chenlock/regigigas are tied for 6th as both have had recent increases and decreases in play but both try to lock your resources to try to defeat you expect these in youre area as well and don't be suprised if you see someone using them they're very good decks just underplayed.

anything beyond this has saw little play over the last few months for just being a tad unreliable but if they'res a deck you like don't hesistate to try it out who knows you might be able to win!

see ya later for more analysis, tournament reports and decklists this is lucarioAdventure1 signing out![/b]
