Never built a steelix deck before, but I see it has alot of potential! I will definatly need help with this deck since I intend to make this my main deck with no going back so please bare with me and comment alot ^^ This is what I have so far! Now I know I can run nidoqueen for extra healing, and I know I can also use skarmory as a starter to speed up steelix instead of using sableye but idk what is better between the two.

3-3 Steelix Prime (Onix from SF)
2-2 Blissey PL (Chansey PL)
4 Skarmory UD
1 Skuntank G
2 Uxie LA
17

3 Bebe's Search
2 Pokemon Collector
2 Pokemon Communication
2 PONT
4 Engineer's Adjustment
3 Conductive Quarry
3 Expert Belt
1 Luxury Ball
4 Poke Healer +
4 Moomoo Milk
2 Life Herb
31

4 DCE
4 Special Metals
5 Metal Energy
12

Strategy is to tank and heal with steelix. Skuntank to poison the opponent for extra damage ^^ simple as that

I would suggest you try to find some way to fit in 1/2 Skarmory UD.

Maybe try running your stadiums as 2 BTS and 1 Conductive Quarry. CQ can really help get back your Metal/Spe. Metal energies after you discard them via Engineer/Blissey.

Hope it helps :)

not sure what advice to give, but in my steelix tank deck i use
3-3 steelix prime
2-2 scizor prime
2 skarmory
2-2-2 togekiss, togepi is a fun starter, togetic gets you any card u need and togekiss heals all and gets reshuffled
2 burned tower to get back basic metals

okay togekiss seems cool but I prefer blissey PL lol

okay here are some changes I am considering so tell me what u think about them
-2 sableye
-2 BTS

+2 skarmory UD
+2 conductive quarry

also thinking of finding room for +2 life herb or a 1-1-1 nidoqueen RR line, what do you think, good or bad idea?

Okay I will test nidoqueen and see if I think she is usefull enough ^^ Also how can I modify my deck to be able to win most of my matchups against sp and still being able to tank and heal like crazy and beating the other decks! Pretty much like Erik Nance the steelix player that top cutted at world

I feel like adding 2 more life herbs a basic metal and another engineer's adjustment. What should I drop for it??

thx for the video and bump! Updated the list a little, took out a collector since through playtesting I thought 2 was enough and I also dropped a bebe's since I only own 3 and they are soo expensive. Added a basic metal to improve the skarmory, onix start and also added another engineer's because I added a fifth metal and it help to get the poke healers and the heal cards really fast and it is also great when u pair it with conductive quarry.

Now all I need to buy is 2 blissey PL, 1 pokemon collector and 4 poke healer + and my deck is complete! YOSH!! btw if anybody has some blissey PL and or poke healers + PM me please!

Have you play tested with Gengar/Vileplume? With the amount of trainers you have you might be in for a tough time.

Nah cuz there is no gengar vileplume at my battle roads and I think there is no blazikens fb also... only luxchomps and dialgachomps for sp
I think there is 1 or 2 charizards but one of them is rarely there and the other one always plays his luxchomp instead. Other possible threat is umbreon UD, I cant attack him but he cant kill me cuz I constently heal and I'll have time to end a blissey to kill him. Other threat is scizor but I dont think anyone plays it. Most of my battleroads are decks like donphan, roserade leafeon, kingdra, rogue fossils, machamp, tyranitar and lots of rogue decks

Well, answering your question; Skarmory is a better at being a Steelix deck starter. It is much faster than sabeleye, and because you have so many trainers, impersonate isn't needed anyway. I don't recommend putting ANY line of nidoqueen. I've played decks that run Nidoqueen lines and Steelix. It only gave him energy unessassary to his deck; and also wasted bench space. I would suggest running Forretress UD that has Gyro Ball. That way, you can not only put up Steelix, but also put up an opponent's that you can tank. I would also suggest taking out a couple Engineer's Adjustments and adding warp energy to switch out Steelix.(Although, this will rarely happen, so only put 2-3 Warp energy in you deck.)
