Steve Irwin Dead

Yup it is true check out my thread because WPM and I were making the same thread and he beat me by 1 minute.:)

I was told about this around 2:30pm (GTM+10)
It was a matter of time before he did something as stupid as that...(BTW I'm an Aussie....Finaly no more making Australia look silly)

I'm quite offended by that, and I really don't think you have a right to say that.

He was attacked while making a documentary and died in the process, he wasn't doing anything stupid at all. And no, he didn't make Australia look silly at all, he was our icon and was respected all around the world for his contributions to nature.

He will be missed throughout the country and the world.

Steve Irwin: 1962-2006.

RIP.

I am quite sad to see this happen. This happened all unexpectedly and sudden. I never watched crocodile hunter much, but I still appreciated his humor, and his contributions to the world. I strongly support the environment, and what he was doing helped protect the environment.

He will be missed by many people. This is an awful tragedy to take place. I will certainly miss him a lot.

RIP

;_;

He will be sorely missed by my household.

Yes, he did act like the typical "Aussie Drongo" but he seemed like a realy nice man when I saw him on Jay Leno. He definately died too young, no denighing that. I never found his mannerisms offencive(I'm another Aussie) or potentialy making Australians look morronic. My best wishes go to his family.

RIP: Steve Irwin.

sigh, in school a teacher came class to class to break this news, our school knew 1 hour immediately after it happened, since hes really popular in australia.

I've always been a huge fan of his show and watched it whenever it was on. He's the man who inspired me to protect animals and their environment. I even anted to work at his zoo and some day meet him. Thank you for what you have given me, Steve. I will never forget you.

well at least a croc didn't kill him...& i don't think 1 ever would have...

ok sorry, i'll take it out. I was just trying to get everybody to cheer up. What'd Steve say if 'e saw all of ya crying? try to remember the good times. Like the time trillions of times he almost got struck by a snake. plus it was probably the way he'd want to go, being with the animals.

Arcanine out.

i just checked & there is an encore presitntation of his Movie Collision Corse tonight on both Animal Planet & the Discovery Channel...
