Ruling Store policy > PUSA policy?

Well, basically, the question is...can store policy override PUSA policy?

My TO is trying to ban japanese cards from the store that have already been released. ALL japanese cards will be banned. From base set to IFDS. Is he allowed to do this as his "store policy?" They're really evil TOs. This thread really explains the situation.

KAGA I NEEDS YOU!! D:

IMO i think that PUSA should have the say on this one... Your TO should be following the Rules of PUSA not TO lol XD

Thats just what i think though i would contact PUSA from their Email adress
[email protected]

Hope this helps!

Well they can ban a player from entering a tournament, so I'm pretty sure they can do certain things like that. I think tihs is rediculous though, and they should just accept the fact that they are legit cards and you have proper documentation to prove what they do.

They cannot, CANNOT ban cards that are also out in your local region, as long as you provide a translation for it - just in case. Just as how it goes with real tournaments.
If you come now with, say, IFDS cards, then OK, they CAN ban them.

Not quite sure what you're saying, but it sounds like your TO is trying to ban the use of foreign-language cards?

That's absolutely wrong. Report it to POP.

All I see it a jerk.
Good thing your new league is starting up soon.
I won't want that guy running the league I go to.

YES! Thank you Kaga. He thinks he can do it as "store policy" and get away with it.

There are some things that are left to the TO's discretion, but that's not one of them. The TO does not get to unilaterally declare what is or is not legal for play. That is the sole discretion of Organized Play.

What I would be concerned about is if he tried that for a Premier event, like a Battle Road, that counted for points. That would most likely result in the entire event being declared invalid, if someone protested it. I'd hate to have rating points towards Worlds get removed because of my TO's stupidity, wouldn't you?

In closing, the only way POP can deal with these things is if they get reported. If this occurred at a sanctioned event, login to your My Pokemon account, go to My Stats, then click the X next to the event to report a problem.

Wait, since we are in that subject. My league and the other leagues in Philippines ban the use of Jap. cards and some organizers said that the distributer(Neutral Grounds) doesn't like it. What's wrong with that?! So should I report this?

HoM: Actually Patrick rolf me to AVOID using them. But he did tell me that you can use japanese cards as long as you have proper documents.
