This card cannot retreat and even if your opponent Knocks Out this Pokemon, your opponent does not take a prize.
You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Can someone please explain to me what happens when this card is played. Does it push your current active to the bench? Does this mean it cannot be played with a full bench? Can this card be played as your very first starting pokemon? Can it hold tools, and can it be affected by cassius or AZ? Also I assume not, but can this card be affected by any pokemon searching cards (ultra ball, sacred ash, etc)/ would it improve the damage of flareon's revenge if it were in the discard pile? Can it be played from your hand to allow a ditto to transform into it? Also are there any other specifics of the card which anyone thinks might be useful to know? I would just like to know as many interactions of this card as possible
I'm wondering if substitute robot can be played as a built-in keldeo + float stone combination. Your pokemon is asleep in the active, perhaps due to hypnolaser, and you can use substitute robot to push your pokemon to the bench, before instantly discarding substitute robot and allowing another pokemon to switch to the active position.
