So that newly-revealed Metagross looks fun, Especially attacking for one energy. It's just begging to be abused by Max Potion. So I've outlined A list that could probably highlight the strengths of it pretty well. It most likely needs some work though. I probably forgot something somewhere. Anyways, here's that list...
Pokemon (18):
  • Beldum CST {60 HP} (2)
Beldum – Metal – HP60
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Conductive Body
As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, its Retreat Cost is [C] less for each Beldum on your Bench.

[M] Ram: 10 damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2
  • Beldum CST {70 HP} (2)
Beldum – Metal – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Single Smash: 50 damage. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 3
  • Metang (2)
  • Metagross CST (4)
Metagross – Metal – HP170
Stage 2 – Evolves from Metang

Ability: Extend
If this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon and you play Steven’s Decision from your hand, your turn doesn’t end.

[M] Meteor Mash: 60 damage. During your next turn, this Pokemon’s Meteor Mash does 60 more damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 4
  • Metagross GX (1)
  • Tapu Koko SM31 (1)
  • Alolan Vulpix GRI (2)
  • Celesteela CST (1)
Celesteela – Metal – HP140
Basic Pokemon (Ultra Beast)

[M][C][C][C][C] Moonraker: 160 damage. If the total of both players’ remaining Prize cards is 6, this attack’s cost is [M].

Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 4
  • Dunsparce CST (1)
Dunsparce – Normal – HP50
Basic Pokemon

[C] Strike and Run: Search your deck for up to 3 Basic Pokemon and put them on your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck. If you put any Pokemon on your Bench, you may switch this Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

[C] Sudden Flash: 10 damage. Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Paralyzed.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
  • Tapu Lele GX (2)
  • Kartana GX (1)
Trainer (35):
  • Steven’s Decision (4)
Steven’s Decision – Trainer
Supporter

Search your deck for up to 3 cards and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. Your turn ends.

You can play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
  • Cynthia (3)
  • Max Potion (4)
  • Ultra Ball (3)
  • Guzma (4)
  • Rare Candy (4)
  • Cyrus Prism Star (1)
  • Tate and Liza (2)
Tate and Liza – Trainer
Supporter

Choose 1:

– Shuffle your hand into your deck, then draw 5 cards.

– Switch your Active Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

You can play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
  • Metal Frying Pan (4)
  • Choice Band (2)
  • Pal Pad (1)
  • Mt. Coronet (1)
  • Field Blower (1)
Energy: (8)
  • Metal (8)

SO... Steven's Decision is probably one of the most broken draw support type cards we have had in a long while. It's better than teammates with no turn where you can't play it. The only problem is that it ends your turn. Enter Metagroos. Metagross's ability says that if its in the active, Break Steven's Decision (I'm paraphrasing a bit, but you get the idea, right?). You use this to basically stay alive forever (unless they can hit 170-200 damage in a single swing, depending on what tool you have attached) and swing for 120, after a momentum building turn. Celesteela exists as a kind of situational Blowup type tech that can destroy BuzSwole or UNecrozma under the right circumstances, and Metagross GX exists to Eliminate any potential for Crushing Hammer to work against the Gross and to instantly recover from a Max Potion. I probably need to add some recovery other than Coronets, probably more pokemon centered, but I don't know if I should use Rescue Stretcher or just some other card I can't remember off the top of my head. Anyway, let me know If I should add anything else.

Edit:
-2 Crisis Potion
-1 Field Blower
-------------------
+1 Cyrus Prism Star
+1 Kartana GX
+1 Rescue Stretcher

Tate and Liza exists as post-rotation draw support and/or an alternate Guzma switch-out, since all of the metal types, which take up the majority of my deck, have a retreat of three or four, and I do not have sufficient energy acceleration to support that, contrary to previous, more Metagross GX focused decks.

I would probably cut one of the Metal Frying Pans and Tapu Koko for two Switch in that case, and I would definitely cut the Tate and Liza for Judge. You really don't want to use your Supporter for the turn when an Item can do the exact same thing.

-1 Metagross GX
-1 Tapu Koko

-2 Tate And Liza

-2 Crisis Potion
-1 Metal Frying Pan
-1 Field Blower

----------------------------

+1 Kartana GX
+1 Oranguru

+1 Cyrus <*>
+2 Judge

+1 Rescue Stretcher
+1 Ultra Ball
+1 Switch

You don't need Metagross GX, Mt. Coronet can recover lost energy in a pinch. You may even up its count, if need be. Tapu Koko is doing nothing there.
Kartana GX gives you an effective GX attack to use, aside from its natural utility as DCE removal. And Oranguru is a much-needed draw support, which your deck's short of.

Tate and Liza isn't good. There's a reason people don't use Shauna and Olympia.
Steven/Metagross puts you in a very unique spot, in which you can adopt some disruption tactics. Cyrus <*> acts as a Zoroark GX/Ultra Necrozma GX check and Judge is some much needed disruption, in a deck where the opponent is supposed to take longer for Judge to present benefits for them.

Crisis Potion won't cut it, as nothing in the current meta hits non-GX pokémon in a 130-150 range. 4 Frying Pan is too much and 4 dead items against non-fire decks. And 1 Field Blower will suffice in a deck that's not affected by Choice Band.
You shouldn't not run Stretcher. Ultra Ball must be maxed out for consistency. Switch is flexible, since you run 4 Guzma (this spot can also be an extra Mt. Coronet or a 3rd Choice Band to secure 210hp KOs).

Metal frying pan is not dead against non-fire decks, since it also reduces damage taken by 30, effectively bumping its HP to 200. I'll probably end up cutting the Crisis potions for the Kartana and Cyrus, since they seem pretty neat actually. And the field blower too; I'm really not used to using non-GXs anymore. In lieu of it, I'll put in the stretcher.
