Super Metroid question

Not sure if this is th right place but thought it would be the best place since it is anything other than Pokemon. In Maridia the sand and water areas of the game. How do I get into the area above the sadpit where the dudes shoot sand at you The are next to where you fall to get the reserve tank and missle upgrades. I don't see a wy into that area. With the X Ray scope I scanned the celing of the pit where the dudes shoot sand balls at you and I scanned the wall of the item pit next to that area. Where do I need to go to get into the area? I don't know how to send a photo so if anyone has the players guide that will help. I don't have my guide anymore XD. Hope someone can help. Thanks guys Also if this helps there is an item in the upper left corner of the roon and it is just left of the room where you get the reserve tank and right above the sand pit room with the sand shooting dudes in it. Hope that helps XD.:)

EDIT: Also the top of the room is right below the save point in the pipe room XD. Thanks.:)

EDIT 2: I just foud out how to get in there by accident It is in the room where the space pirates are and I scanned one of the walls and found a red door with an Energy tank inside.:)
 
I'm not sure if you still have a problem or not, but the wording of that post kinda confused me, I don't know where you're stuck exactly except for the fact that it's Maridia... >.< But that aside, Super Metroid is one of my favorite games ever, and I have beaten it multiple times with decent times/percentages. So if you ever need any help with the game (or any Metroid game for that matter, spare NES Metroid and Metroid Prime Hunters, I'm sad to say I haven't beaten those two before...) then you can find me for help. Either post in this thread or contact me personally and I should be able to help, as long as your question is clearer than the one in this thread. :p
 
I found the entrance to the room. It is in the room where the space pirates are. It is the room just above the hallway with the sand shooting dudes in it if you look at the map. Anyway how do I get the missile pack where you have to use the speed booster to run through the door and jump? How do I do this without cancelling the speed booster XD?:)
 
Again, not too specific, but maybe the technique you're looking for is shinesparking? To do this, get the speed booster to activate while running, and duck down while still running. Samus will freeze and begin to glow. Without taking too much time, you can press the jump button and jump straight up speed booster-style. You can also use the control stick/pad to make yourself fly horizontally or diagonally up. The angle buttons also work to go diagonally. If you time yourself and position yourself well, you can use this to break through certain cleverly placed speed booster blocks and nab yourself some expansions. Careful though, in this game, unfortunately, it will drain your health a little. Thankfully they fixed this in future Metroid games.
 
Yeah I know how to do that but I am actually using an emulator because that is my only way to play it now. I have to find the PAR or GG cheat to patch that drain damage on the life meter too. I used cheats for everything else from suit to infinite Super Missiles and more XD.:)


EDIT: Where are the last 10 missile upgrades? I got all the ones I can think of in Caretia Brinstar and Norfair that I can think of I know of one in Maridia. Are there any in the Acid room in Ridley's lair? If so what cheat code makes Samus Imune to Acid? Thanks XD. I have been using the X ray scope to scan walls celings and floors but not sure of any in the acid room in Ridley's lair. Thanks XD.:)
 
Well you know, the internet is pretty handy for these things... :p I can't help you with emulator cheats, nor do I have every expansion in the game perfectly memorized. I don't even know which ones you're missing.
 
Well Here is a list of the ones I have off the top of my head

Crateria

Have the boms in the top right door where the acid rises up and down
Have the 2 missile tanks on the hidden left wall and the energy tank too. This room has spikes and acid in the room on the way
Have the bombs where I have to beat the staue
Have the energy tank where you have the bee hives that you have to shoot to get filled up again
Have the missle upgrades where you have to go through the Wrecked Ship to get to them but I see doors in the one area where they lead to walls which is part of the ship but I don't know how to get to them. I can see them when I use the space jump though.

I will add the other areas later XD but if there is anything I missed in this area please let me know. Thanks XD.:)
