Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U

November 21st confirmed awesome day. Super Smash Bros Wii U+amiibo+Pokemon. Just so much goodness and hype. I've been looking forward to the Wii U version of Smash for a long time so I think it's absolutely great that it's confirmed to actually be coming out this year (for now at least).

dmaster out.

I'm glad people are enjoying that glitch! I saved a replay of it in case Nintendo decides to eliminate it (and it's reasonable to guess they will). I think a tournament would be fun as well. Perhaps someone who is interested in running it should make their own thread about it?

With regards to the tierlist, it seems a bit too soon to come up with that. The game may have been out in Japan a while, but in the US it's been out maybe 5 days. I think a lot will change as more players get into the game. Ganon in E seems strange to me, everyone I've fought that used him was really good. Might just be my experience, and I'm more casual than the tournament-level players, but there you have it.

I wasn't asking to turn it off, I was just asking if there was a way to cancel mid flight rather than go all the way up.

Edit: Okay so I was training in... well.. Training, and I was using Pac-Man on the PAC-MAZE and I discovered that when it zooms into certain characters, it'll cut into them. For example, play as Pac-Man and zoom into him. It's the same for small characters being next to some large ones (such as Bowser and Charizard). Even some moves zoomed in as anyone can cut into them, exposing their innards. Anyway, I just figured this would be fun to point out, and it may also work on Balloon Trip and possibly Flat Zone 2

Man that sounds cool but would also be bad if you were playing with friends since it would make it hard to see what everyone is doing XD. That is cool for single play though.:)

EDIT: 11/21/14 is both the Wii U and OR/AS game release. Man is everyone ready to pay $100.00 or $40.00 each+tax for each game? That is nearly $100.00 guys. Hope you guys can do this because that is a lot for both but one at a time is cool.:)

Oh jeez. $100+ for Smash + Controller and adapter, $40 for Alpha Sapphire, $80 for Persona Q four days later.

Logic says I don't need all of them.
Stupid human nature says I should get them all and on day one to boot.

>_>

More Smash-related topic, these "Challenges" are just... poor. Most of them aren't even challenging. Just monotonous. Meh.

Try challenging yourself to get more than 1 Million in All Star mode. It can be done, but isn't easy. You might also try to raise your global smash power in the different modes of play. I have a couple of those to over 1 million.

I did not realize ORAS comes out on the 21st... I thought it was the 12th... I was planning to pre-order Sm4sh U when I picked up my AS but I guess I have to change plans.

What kind of crazy collector's edition are you planning to buy?!

One I intend on selling off. It's a risk, but $30 isn't much for an Atlas risk. Generally their limited edition stuff carries some pretty good value. Espeeeecially Persona. P4G Solid Gold Edition still fetches a nice penny, and it didn't even have all that much to it.

I just want the game and tarot cards. And hey, if I break even or even lose $10 it sucks, but it's not the worst mistake I've ever made.

SPEAKING OF POOR MONETARY CONTROL I forgot about Amiibos. Gonna' need to get Marth and Villager.

And all of the ones I don't want for later resale

For an easy 100 combo in training challenge, spawn max smart bombs, push a bowser into them, and detonate. Hit 100 easy.

Working on smash run victories with all fighters.

You can only spawn 1 at a time I believe, but just use Ness against I think anyone, or maybe Ganon, and grab them and just hit them while they're at 999%. It automatically lets them go after 100 hits.

LMAO the current conquest is King and the Commoner (Bowser vs Villager) and I went in team smash and this is what happened. Me as bowser with Villager as my teammate, and the other team was the same. Same costumes and all. Default Bowser and Pink Villager.

Does anyone know if Nintendo is making a players guide like they did with Melee? I think they did for Brawl but can't remember. Hopefully they make it correctly because the Melee one was so messed up that it was not funny XD. It had sooo many errors in it that it was like a kid tried to make the guide.:)

They are usually pretty good with their guides. The only problem though is their logo covers a good portion of the cover. Last I knew they did that. Not sure about now but in the past they used to though. I mean Nintendo's guide. I don't know how theirs got messed up. That was so weird.:)

Prima's logos aren't as all over anymore, I believe. I remember their Godzilla DAMM and Sonic Heroes guides lol. Nope it's just their logo in a small corner now. Unless they changed it since Super Mario Galaxy and Scribblenauts 1.

And then Rosalina crouched o_o

Prima has a guide for it. Don't know if it's a digital-only thing, though.

When I picked up my Smash 4 3DS pre-order at GameStop, the attendant asked if I wanted a code for the digital strategy guide. I said yes and they gave me a code. (It was an extra $1.99 onto the game price.)

I literally just did this mission. Try it. Your idea works, I'm sure, but this is a lot faster.

Same. I declined, because lol official strategy guides, lol guides for smash

The only reason I ever got guides was for the official artwork in them. Lol

Yep. Which is why I hate the manager at our local Gamestop. He asked me four times if I wanted that blasted guide. "It has ALL the tips!" "You can read it while on-the-go" (No I can't, no phone) "It will help your game!" Don't know how many ways I have to say no before he catches on. Every other employee there is great, but that guy. Blech.

If it was a nice, paper guide maybe I'd get it. But then it would be for this very reason. The artwork in them can be great.

Anybody here attempted to do pivots or foxtrotting? Tried it for a tiny bit and now my circle pad feels off. @-@

On the subject of lag...I played a good amount of games in local multiplayer, I admit the lag is there, but not badly. Every session we had (Like 5-10 games a session), only had somewhat bad lag for 1 game a session, the lag last 3-5 seconds. I guess it varies though. We were a foot away from each other and were not directly pointing the 3ds' at each other.

This game is amazing too.

Does the guide spoil everything and does it cover every move set for each character Trophy and how to unlock every stage character mode and everything else?:)
