Is Gastrodon East Sea and Gastrodon West Sea the same Pokemon?

I do not think so, because it is like Nidoran f and Nidoran m.

Since the Sea tag is located at the same place as the LV X tag, I think they count as 2 different Pokes. So you could play 8 Gastrodons total. But I can't imagine why you should.

Just popped up in my mind and I dun like a question to be unsolved =). But they DO make good combos

The rules team has stated that "East/West Sea" is part of the name, so you can run four of each.

They clouded the issue by printing the suffixes in roughly the same size font as the flavor text (which isn't part of the card name).
