Collecting TCG Pins

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows when they started releasing the pins with the TCG, was it with Shiny Genesect then XY?

Huh, an interesting question! The earliest retail released TCG-related pin product that I can find with a bit of research is the 2012 World Championship decks, which came with a pin based off of that years design theme. There are some other pins that I've found evidence of that are older, but they seem to be more special promotion items (such as the Pokémon Center New York Grand Opening Pin). I'm not sure if this completely answers your question or not, but hopefully it gives you a place to start, at least.

Thank you, I think the championship ones are the first ones to release with the cards then. I don't remember anything before the Kalos starters or Shiny Genesect.
