Hey everyone. After seeing the VG Theorymon exercises done by [mod]Bippa[/mod], I decided it would be interesting to see views of various members of how a certain aspect of the TCG can be improved, such as a card or a part of the TCG in general. Now we're into Week 8, and I'm going to go back to what we were doing on Week 5, which is making the card more playable.

Rules:

1) Say what's on your mind, but don't troll. People can tell that advice is legit, even if they don't agree with it.

2) Say as much as you want! There's no limit on how many aspects you would like to see changed, and that shouldn't hold you back from providing multiple pieces of advice.

3) If you disagree with a member, don't flame or I will get [mod]Glaceon[/mod] in here and Ice Beam you all.

So here's the card we'll be working on.

Make your changes assuming you could take the card, use Wite-Out on anything you wanted, and change it. Begin!

Gardevoir
Psychic
150 HP
Stage Two

(Ability): Psychic Mirage: Each Basic (P) Energy attached to your Pokemon provides (P)(P). You can't apply more than one Psychic Mirage Ability at a time. When your opponent uses an attack that deals with the number of Energy attached to your Pokemon, each Basic (P) Energy attached to your Pokemon only provides (P).

(P)(P)(C)(C): Mind Shock 90
Discard an Energy Card attached to this Pokemon.

(Weakness): Psychic
(Resistance): None
(Retreat Cost): (C)(C)

Better Ability, makes everything less prone to your opponent's counter-Mewtwo. Also note it doubles Energy for non-Psychic Pokemon, making Tornadus viableish with it.

Also more HP to make it less of an easy Catcher prize. And a better attack.

Gardevior [p]130HP

[Ability] Psychic Mirage
Each [p] attached to your active pokemon is now [p][p]. no more then one psychic mirage can take effect at one time. When your opponent uses an attack that deals with the number of Energy attached to your Pokemon, each Basic [p] Energy attached to your Pokemon only provides [p].

[p][p][c][c] Mind Shock 80
The defending pokemon is now paralyzed.

Weakness: [d]x2
Resistance
Retret Cost: [c][c]

^ Paralysis is way too overpowered without a flip, especially with that amount of damage.

^ agreed. Really, the only huge problem w/ Gardy is (other than no telepass or psychic lock D:) its terrible HP. 110, no thank you. Give it 130 hp and maybe it'll see some play. Up the damage to 80 then Wallah, I could see it being played.
