TCGO rant

I know I can't be the only one who is tired of the half @$$ed way TCGO runs things. Since I started playing the game, I noticed the stock answers the professors gave to questions that could have easily been answered. Heck it took them 2 months after beta was launched to enable trading. During that time, they would just blow off anyone wanted to know when trading would be up with typical cliched answers "It will be up soon", "we're always improving" blah blah blah.

But now they really crossed the line with the idiotic way they want you to redeem plasma boosters. Instead just sticking with the booster credits, where the code cards could redeem any pack in the shop, they make it so that you can't buy plasma boosters with booster credits. Instead, you have to buy the plasma boosters to get the specific code card. Why? Why is this necessary? Well the good old professors at TCGO don't have an answer other than "we believe it's necessary, but we're not gonna tell you why so just take our word".

And now apparently, there are errors with redeeming plasma boosters. I guess only a few people were able to redeem them.so trying to trade for any plasma card is going to be hard (I made 12 trades for plasma stuff and only 2 of them were accepted. I assume that had something to do with it). I'm not sure what the problem is exactly, maybe if they left the thing alone and stuck with the old way, there'd be no problems redeeming things.

Sorry for the rant, but it's beyond frustrating seeing such idiotic and unnecessary decisions affect TCGO like this. [/i]

well duh, anyone could just buy 100 code cards for like $20 and make whatever deck they wanted, this its more fair and forces everyone to play Pre-release style, which if you ask me is way more fun then regular tournaments, even without having new cards to mess around with.
 
My biggest issue is that you can only trade promo cards for other promo cards now. That is the lamest restriction ever imposed. Don't tell me what I can and can't trade my cards for you friggin' Nazi's!!
 
ECHOxLegend: How is this more fair? If anything it was more fair in the past BECAUSE anyone who has bought codes could get the packs they want. All this does is needlessly restrict what people can buy. Either way, the pokemon people would still get revenue from those who bought the cards to sell them.

Pink Led: I heard about that one too. It's eiter a glitch or another boneheaded decision from the higher ups. What ticks me off is that the professors don't listen to their consumer base. There were so many people on the forums telling the professors that they did not want this, but all they did was copy and paste some stock response about how they believed the change was necessary and that we'll have to wait and see. So typical.

And don't get me started on the forums. Half the time when I click on a thread, it just redirects me back to the homepage. And when I do type a message, it doesn't go through. The forums are even more glitchy than the game!!

Yep, PTCGO are Nazis. Because trading retrictions are that bad.

But seriously, I think I should give up on PTCGO. Redeeming is a pain and now to hear this Plasma stuff makes not want to play.

Why are people getting so butt-hurt? Yeah, it's a bit annoying, but to go into a flying rage? I figure with the codes, I bought a Plasma pack in the first place, why shouldn't the code give me a Plasma pack? Maybe they'll change it later on when Plasma's not so new or if they get enough complaints. My biggest beef is that you can't customize your avatar anymore, and haven't been able to for a while now. :( But other than that, it's a game you're not obligated to play or to pay for even. :I
 
Well that explains why when I uploaded a video of me opening Plasma Storm packs to promote my ebay channel I got tons of kids asking me specifically for Plasma Storm codes.
 
It's like...they want people to buy new product instead of secondary market purchases of bulk TCG codes.

Shame on them for trying to make money guys!

And they still get money from the secondary market who buys the codes. If they want people to buy from them than they should sell the codes individually.

I should also mention that not everyone has access to the plasma storm packs so people who can't buy them (overseas ect) are left out. It was fine the way it was before, but when one of the coolest sets come out, they decide to make it harder for people to get them. That's just a jerk move.
