team aqua's kyogre when the rotation happens will be broken when used right

float stone and darkrai are gone

this pokemon does 80 damage + 20 for each retreat cost on your opponents pokemon

team aquas muk raises the retreat cost of all non team aqua pokemon 1 per muck

4 muks means kyogre does 80 + 80 + 20x the opponents retreat cost

also sharkpedo lets you pull 1 team aqua pokemon per turn from your deck so muk wont be that hard to pull and your opponents retreat costs will be massive

the stronger deck is team magama

first we have camerupt which you will run 4-4 of nomatter which path you choose

next camerupt ex for the fusion of the 2 since camerupt discars fires from all your pokemon as many as you wish team magmas camerupt will take 1 discarded fire energy and put it on itself each turn so thats 50 dmg per also you can get extra help from blacksmiths

plan b is pure magma using the magma stadium to do 2 damage to non magma pokemon put into play

zangoose has a attack which is the same as mega rayquaza except 20x and only counts magma pokemon

zangoose also has a 2 pokemon call for family so numels will swarm

team magma claydol is a optional card letting you move energies around magma pokemon

aggron is the key he has for a fighting and colorless almost the same attack as camerupt EX but it only does 40x

camerupt can pull fighting energies and you can put strong energies on aggron to have him hit harder also he is not EX

he has another attack that lets you hit for 120 and 20 to each of the benched pokemon your opponent played while team magmas base is out putting damage on them

double magma energy is discarded at the end of the turn but who cares if your gonna toss it to do 80 more damage for his first attack

sky field is a alternate option since call for family can fill your bench fast then you can hit for 160 base damage with zangoose

dont forget team magmas great ball to take a basic pokemon and a fighting energy from your deck

team magma admins to pull camerupts from your discard so your opponent cant just focus on them to stop your energies

Try setting up Team Aqua's Kyogre against something like M-Rayquaza. You will see that it is virtually impossible. Kyogre (and Groudon) require huge amounts of energy costs to actually set up, taking ~3 or so turns to do decent damage. The only really viable Retreat basher is Beartic FuF and/or Forretress FF, but after LTC being banned, it is very difficult to consistently hit the 1-hit KOs off a single energy that this deck needs.

Team Aqua decks are garbage, and this is coming from a guy who has been an Aqua fan since gen 3.

Here's why: Kyogre is the only Pokemon that can take advantage of the retreat modifiers, and Kyogre is terrible. If even one of the other Aqua Pokemon had an attack that did what Kyogre's does (even on a smaller scale), Aqua decks would be so much better. Aqua Diffuser is also worthless, and Team Aqua Admin is mediocre at best.

Magma decks have the same problem, but at least Aggron and Camerupt have synergy with each other and Zangoose can clean house on his own with the much better Team Magma Admin supporting him.

See Beartic FuF and Forretress FF. But in all honestly, without the speed once applicable with Trump, Retreat decks a pretty dead.

I meant the only Team Aqua Pokemon.
