The regular and Illustration Rare versions of Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet from The Glory of Team Rocket have been revealed! Sadly — but not unexpectedly — the Trainer is a Team Rocket Grunt instead of Jessie.
The set will release in Japan on April 18th and become part of May’s Destined Rivals.

Damn, if they didn't appear in the artwork of Meowth, Wobbuffet, or their ARs I think it's safe to say Jessie and James are truly retired from the franchise as a whole alongside Ash. I figured they would get to stick around for occasional cameos on account of their quasi-mainline status due to Yellow/LGPE, but combined with the fact that they haven't returned to Go or Masters in over 4 years (and all official Masters material that includes every released Trainer always omits them and Ash) this feels like the final nail in the coffin.

Makes sense from a branding perspective, but still sad to see them go. A folder with the Rocket Trio was the first Pokemon merch I ever owned.

Bru they were my childhood villains that I grew to appreciate so much why cut em out tpci 😭😭😭
 
This actually looks pretty cool. Mewtwo with a bravery charm has 330 hp, a number a lot of decks aren't aiming for anymore. It only takes one attachment with the special energy, and Giovanni lets you pivot the 3 retreat Mewtwo easier. I wasn't sold on the deck originally, but I think this might help

The mimikyu that still has to be fully revealed is going to make the deck so much better. It has a copycat attack like genome hacking but with the way the text lines up there might be one restriction on it, like opponents active "basic" pokemon

Because the attack name is "Gemstone ..." the restriction is likely Tera Pokemon. Some have also speculated it could be owner's mons.

Anything other than those two would be way too strong for a single prize basic for 2 energies.
 
It is a basic, but Idk how much play it will see, since the altaria from ST didn't see any real play. I dont know if being a basic will save make the card more playable if it's only locked to rockets pokemon.

Quite the doom post as if they won’t have the chance to return with how much they revisit Kanto. Like calm down their latest cards aren’t even that old
 
Kinda dig that artwork, but my speculation on the set as a whole is I feel people will be dissapointed in the SiR's and chase cards.

Not possible cause it's team rocket and no matter what it's gonna be meta and broken and the best art in the sv era
