Yay, a kid with very little writing stamina is doing a fanfic! (jk )
We've all heard of Arceus, right? The Alpha Pokemon, the creator of the universe. A being of that power, to capture it's strength, would be wonderful, wouldn't it? That's what Team Alphic wanted. To harness its power, to take control of the universe itself is every team member's ultimate fantasy. And they weren't like Team Galactic either. In fact, their ruthlessness Team Galactic look like a charity project.
But they weren't they only ones who wanted it. There were others, including Team Galactic, The random trainers who loved strong Pokemon and the various collectors who would sell it to Team Alphic/Galactic. And there were only a few people to stop them...
Cyrus was pacing his office, trying to figure out a way to get Arceus without Team Alphic finding out about it. They're such good snoops, I'd bet half my members are spies for them, he thought as he went to open a window. The sounds of the forest were soothing and usually calmed him, but today they were just annoying. He closed the window and stared at his model of Arceus, as if it would make the god Pokemon himself appear before him.
There has to be a way to capture it, Cyrus thought. There has to be a way to stop Team Alphic and win Arceus for ourselves.
The past few months had not been fun. Various good guys had stopped Team Galactic's various plans. And at Spear Pillar, when he tried to capture Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, a kid came and spoiled his plans. A mere kid! Stop him! And all he was trying to do was make the galaxy a better, more peaceful place. But with Arceus, he could make his dreams come true and become a deity, an equal to the god.
Just then, Mars walked into the room. "I have a report on Team Alphic," she said. "After days of trying, we have finally hacked into their files like you said to and found a blueprint. It's a device to capture Arceus."
Cyrus was pleased. What perfect timing! They would finally stop Team Alphic!
"Tell me about this blueprint," he said.
"It appears to be some sort of gem, fit together with a piece of each of the 16 plates. Our labs hold 6 already, as you know. We've also learned that they're holding a tournament, and the aura of the strongest trainers and their Pokemon, combined with the power of the gem will awaken Arceus and allow them to capture it.
She paused for a moment. "Unless we get it first, of course," she said with a grin. "It wouldn't be hard, now that we have their plans."
"Yes," Cyrus said. "And because you seem to like it, why don't we send you to compete? in addition, we'll send Jupiter, Saturn and Charon. I'm sure one of you will win and get Arceus. So don't fail me."
"Don't worry, Cyrus. We won't."
"Sir, we've just discovered there's been a hack in!"
Lucas, the leader of Team Alphic gritted his teeth. Would the bad news ever end? First 4 of the 10 plates that Team Alphic possessed had gone missing. Then one of their prize Pokemon, a very strong Flygon had gone missing, while freeing some other Pokemon in the process, including Lucas's Gallade. A search party was being organized. And now this. Why did running an organization have to be so difficult?
"Tell our engineers to start working on a better security system. Have you figure out who hacked in?"
"Well, we can't tell for sure. But it seems to be from Team Galactic."
Not them again, Lucas thought. Why can't they just come up with their own plans to capture deities? And then they take all the credit for all the schemes they steal from us. Sinnoh barely knows us as some gang that looks up to Team Galactic. But it's the other way around.
"So, what did they steal from us this time?"
The man gulped. The boss was not exactly known for accepting bad news. "It seems they got our plans for capturing Arceus," he started. "but don't worry, because-"
"Lucas grabbed the man and threw him against the wall. "Get those plans back," he shouted. "or I'll rip your arms off and throw you over the edge of Mt. Coronet! Understand?!"
"Y-yes, o-of course." The man stammered. Then he hurried back to the computers to report the situation to his fellow workers. They had to find the plans fast- their boss rarely joked when he said stuff like that. He really would throw them over the edge.
Lucas turned to his own computer. He opened some files to see what got stolen. It was true. They did get the plans for capturing Arceus. But not all of them. The info on the Azure Flute, the most important part to capturing it was still secure under multiple security systems. Why not have some fun with this?, he thought. Let Team Galactic go to the tournament. Without the flute, they'll never get Arceus.
Now that that problem was cleared up, it was time for the invitations. He had spent the past few weeks carefully choosing the participants for this event. He had 8 Pokemon sending out invitations. These were Pigeot, Fearow, Dodrio, Noctowl, Swellow, Staraptor, Chatot, and Togekiss. The trainers were assigned to one of these Pokemon based on their skills. But they didn't know that.
All that was left was to deliver. "Pokemon, go!" Lucas shouted. The Pokemon went off on their deliveries. There were 1,023 invites sent out. The last one was given to a special person, the strongest battler in all of Team Alphic. He was ranked #131.
"I know you will do us well," Cyrus said. "by winning the tournament and capturing Arceus."
"Of course, master," the trainer said. "Arceus shall be ours."
"And remember, failure is not an option. Or else we shall leave Arceus to destroy you."
"Right. I will succeed."
Now I think it's time to introduce our main character. He wasn't anyone special in the pokemon world, just someone who managed to get his rank up to #22. while it was impressive, it's wasn't like he had become the Champion or anything, or beaten her for that matter. But he had beaten the Elite 4, which counts for something. Enough to enter the tournament where he would face his ultimate challenge, who's name was Arceus.
