Yay, a kid with very little writing stamina is doing a fanfic! :p (jk :D)

Prologue

We've all heard of Arceus, right? The Alpha Pokemon, the creator of the universe. A being of that power, to capture it's strength, would be wonderful, wouldn't it? That's what Team Alphic wanted. To harness its power, to take control of the universe itself is every team member's ultimate fantasy. And they weren't like Team Galactic either. In fact, their ruthlessness Team Galactic look like a charity project.

But they weren't they only ones who wanted it. There were others, including Team Galactic, The random trainers who loved strong Pokemon and the various collectors who would sell it to Team Alphic/Galactic. And there were only a few people to stop them...

***

Cyrus was pacing his office, trying to figure out a way to get Arceus without Team Alphic finding out about it. They're such good snoops, I'd bet half my members are spies for them, he thought as he went to open a window. The sounds of the forest were soothing and usually calmed him, but today they were just annoying. He closed the window and stared at his model of Arceus, as if it would make the god Pokemon himself appear before him.

There has to be a way to capture it, Cyrus thought. There has to be a way to stop Team Alphic and win Arceus for ourselves.

The past few months had not been fun. Various good guys had stopped Team Galactic's various plans. And at Spear Pillar, when he tried to capture Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, a kid came and spoiled his plans. A mere kid! Stop him! And all he was trying to do was make the galaxy a better, more peaceful place. But with Arceus, he could make his dreams come true and become a deity, an equal to the god.

Just then, Mars walked into the room. "I have a report on Team Alphic," she said. "After days of trying, we have finally hacked into their files like you said to and found a blueprint. It's a device to capture Arceus."

Cyrus was pleased. What perfect timing! They would finally stop Team Alphic!

"Tell me about this blueprint," he said.

"It appears to be some sort of gem, fit together with a piece of each of the 16 plates. Our labs hold 6 already, as you know. We've also learned that they're holding a tournament, and the aura of the strongest trainers and their Pokemon, combined with the power of the gem will awaken Arceus and allow them to capture it.

She paused for a moment. "Unless we get it first, of course," she said with a grin. "It wouldn't be hard, now that we have their plans."

"Yes," Cyrus said. "And because you seem to like it, why don't we send you to compete? in addition, we'll send Jupiter, Saturn and Charon. I'm sure one of you will win and get Arceus. So don't fail me."

"Don't worry, Cyrus. We won't."
***

"Sir, we've just discovered there's been a hack in!"

Lucas, the leader of Team Alphic gritted his teeth. Would the bad news ever end? First 4 of the 10 plates that Team Alphic possessed had gone missing. Then one of their prize Pokemon, a very strong Flygon had gone missing, while freeing some other Pokemon in the process, including Lucas's Gallade. A search party was being organized. And now this. Why did running an organization have to be so difficult?

"Tell our engineers to start working on a better security system. Have you figure out who hacked in?"

"Well, we can't tell for sure. But it seems to be from Team Galactic."

Not them again, Lucas thought. Why can't they just come up with their own plans to capture deities? And then they take all the credit for all the schemes they steal from us. Sinnoh barely knows us as some gang that looks up to Team Galactic. But it's the other way around.

"So, what did they steal from us this time?"

The man gulped. The boss was not exactly known for accepting bad news. "It seems they got our plans for capturing Arceus," he started. "but don't worry, because-"

"Lucas grabbed the man and threw him against the wall. "Get those plans back," he shouted. "or I'll rip your arms off and throw you over the edge of Mt. Coronet! Understand?!"

"Y-yes, o-of course." The man stammered. Then he hurried back to the computers to report the situation to his fellow workers. They had to find the plans fast- their boss rarely joked when he said stuff like that. He really would throw them over the edge.

Lucas turned to his own computer. He opened some files to see what got stolen. It was true. They did get the plans for capturing Arceus. But not all of them. The info on the Azure Flute, the most important part to capturing it was still secure under multiple security systems. Why not have some fun with this?, he thought. Let Team Galactic go to the tournament. Without the flute, they'll never get Arceus.

Now that that problem was cleared up, it was time for the invitations. He had spent the past few weeks carefully choosing the participants for this event. He had 8 Pokemon sending out invitations. These were Pigeot, Fearow, Dodrio, Noctowl, Swellow, Staraptor, Chatot, and Togekiss. The trainers were assigned to one of these Pokemon based on their skills. But they didn't know that.

All that was left was to deliver. "Pokemon, go!" Lucas shouted. The Pokemon went off on their deliveries. There were 1,023 invites sent out. The last one was given to a special person, the strongest battler in all of Team Alphic. He was ranked #131.

"I know you will do us well," Cyrus said. "by winning the tournament and capturing Arceus."

"Of course, master," the trainer said. "Arceus shall be ours."

"And remember, failure is not an option. Or else we shall leave Arceus to destroy you."

"Right. I will succeed."

Now I think it's time to introduce our main character. He wasn't anyone special in the pokemon world, just someone who managed to get his rank up to #22. while it was impressive, it's wasn't like he had become the Champion or anything, or beaten her for that matter. But he had beaten the Elite 4, which counts for something. Enough to enter the tournament where he would face his ultimate challenge, who's name was Arceus.

RE: The Alpha Tournament

Oh gawd, another Team Galactic fanfic >.<

It's alright, but less dialogue, and more plot!

RE: The Alpha Tournament

Chapter 1: Delayed Flight

"Tyler, wake up! They came!"

Tyler groaned and sat up. He looked at the Pikachu clock at the side of his bed. 6:00 a.m. Way too early.

"Just go back to sleep, okay Maria?"

"But they came! The invitations! and now you owe me 4 Ultra Balls, because I win the bet! I'm in the tournament!"

"I'll give it to you later. Just stop shouting," Tyler said as he got out of bed. Why did his sister have to be so hyper?

Tyler went downstairs to get some breakfast. He noticed the invitations on the table. He went over to read the one addressed to him.

"Tyler Risor, due to your ranking of 22nd place you have been invited to the championship tournament 3 days from now. The top trainers in the world have been invited to this event. you are allowed to bring up to 15 Pokemon to compete with. A Pokemon will be sent to you in a few days to transport you to the tournament. We wish you luck.
Lucas Scystel, tournament organizer."

Tyler, of course, knew that he was going to get into the tournament. But his sister... he was surprised. He read over her invitation to see how high she was. 142. Much better then he thought.

"You? win? That'll be the day. Anyway, it says there's 3 days. So we have time to prepare. Let's do some practice battles after breakfast."

Right then, their mom walked into the room. "What's happening?" She asked. "I thought I heard shouting."

"Mom! You know the tournament we told you about? We're in it! We're supposed to leave in 3 days."

Chapter 1: invitations

"Tyler, wake up! today's the day!"
lll
Tyler groaned. He sat up and looked at his clock. 6:15. Too early for a guy like him.

"Maria, let me sleep today. I battled you yesterday. Can't you repay me with this?"

"But today's the day! The invitations are coming today! I want to see if I'm in the tournament! They could come any moment!"

"Okay, I'll get up. Just stop shouting."

RE: The Alpha Tournament

I'm working on the chapter now. I haven't had much time playtesting for Regionals, but now I can work on it a little more. i'm a slow writer. :p

RE: The Alpha Tournament

Chapter 1: invitations

A sudden loud noise woke Tyler with a start. He looked at his clock to find out that it was only 6:14. He was about to go back to sleep when he heard it again. He decided to check out what it was.

Tyler was a somewhat short boy for his age, with short, brown hair that seemed to stick to the top of his head. He had blue-green eyes that looked bad with his hair.

Tyler dragged himself out of bed, and went downstairs. The noise was now clearly coming from someone knocking at the door. He finally got to the door and opened it. Standing in front of him was a tall man with 2 letters in his hand.

"Hello. Are you Tyler S.?" the man asked.

"Yes, I am."

"I have a letter for you. From the host of the new Pokemon tournament 3 days from now. this invitation is for you."

"Then the other one. Who's that-"

"Your sister. She is in the tournament ass well," the man said.

Tyler was surprised. He didn't think his sister was even in the top ranks of this region, let alone all 4. She wasn't much of a competitive battler. She mostly just caught Cherrims and Pachirisus for their cuteness.

"Here are the invitations," the man said. "please remember to bring the badge inside, You'll need it to get in." With that, the man walked away.

Tyler went to his sister's bedroom.

RE: The Alpha Tournament

I love the story so far. But would Lucas really throw people off the edge of Mt. Cornet?

"Then the other one. Who's that one for. It can't be for Cynthia-"

"It is. Your sister is in the tournament as well," the man said.

Tyler was surprised. He didn't think his sister was even in the top ranks of this region, let alone all 4. She wasn't much of a competitive battler. Unlike the champion Cynthia, who was a top battler, his sister spent most of her time smearing honey on trees and collecting Cherrims.

"Here are the invitations," the man said. "Please remember to bring the badge inside, You'll need it to get in." With that, the man walked away.

Tyler went to his sister's bedroom. He opened the door and crept inside. But before he could even get to her bed, she woke up.

"Tyler Tyler Tyler! What are you doing in here did something happen and what time is it?!"

Tyler sighed why did his sister have to be so hyper?

"The invitations came. For the tournament-"

"They came they came?! did I get one?!"

"Yes. It's right here."

Cynthia opened it eagerly. She quickly read threw it, her face glowinng with excitement. As she read, Tyler opened his own invitation:

Dear Tyler N. 22nd best battler, you have been invited to the Alpha tournament, a special tournament specifically for the best of the best. Please bring with you 15 Pokemon,
with no 2 of the same kind. A plane will come to take you to the tournament in 3 days from the time you receive this letter. Good luck.

Lucas S, host and founder of tournament

Tyler looked up. "What place are you in?' he asked.

"141st. Not the best, but... it's not bad, I mean... it's better then some people, right?"

Tyler smiled. He was much better then his sister, and she knew. But she was still pretty good. After all, he had received help from his parents, before they went off to battle in leagues By the time she was able to catch Pokemon, they had ben gone for over 6 months.

"3 days until we go. Let's go back to bed, then practice in the morning."

"Okay," Cynthia said and proceeded to fall asleep.

A few hours later, Tyler forced himself out of bed. He managed to hobble downstairs and get some breakfast.

As he was eating, Cynthia came down. "Come on let's battle why are you sitting around eating I want to practice!"

"Give me a minute!" Tyler said. after he finished, he and Cynthia went outside.

"Let's battle one on one," Tyler said. "Do you agree?"

"Okay," Cynthia replied.

"Then let's go!" tyler said as they threw their Poke Balls. Tyler sent out a Gyrados, and Cynthia sent out a Cherrim.

"Gyrados, use Hydro Pump!' Tyler shouted. Gyrados started preparing a blast of water, but Cynthia was ready.

"Sunny Day!" she said. the sun suddenly became several times more intense, and Hydro Pump barely affected Cherrim at all.

"Dragon Dance!" Tyler said. Gyardos started twisting in a sinister way. "Follow up with Waterfall!"

Gyrados's extra speed, combined with the added power was too much for cherrim to handle. It was sent flying. But it managed to get back up.

"Cherrim, use Leech Seed!" Cynthia said. Cherrim sprouted a seed, and threw it at Gyardos. It stuck on and started draining Gyardos.

"Hyper Beam!" Tyler shouted. Gyardos blasted a huge energy beam at Cherrim, hitting it dead on. If it weren't for Leech Seed, it would have lost.

"That was close. Now use Solar beam!" Cynthia said. Cherrim started charging a beam from the sun.

"Rain Dance!". Suddenly, the sun died out. It started raining. "now end it with Hydro Pump!"

Gyardos sent out a beam of water, which knocked Cherrim into a tree. It had lost.

"Arrgh! You win again! I never beat you!"

Tyler laughed.

***

Lucas was preparing his prized Pokemon. They would go out and test the arriving trainers to see which ones were powerful enough to get in the tournament.

"Pokemon! go! find all the competitors and see if they are strong!"

The Pokemon all went off on their various routes. I wish you luck, trainers, Lucas thought.

I know it's a little short, but the next chapter will be longer. I promise![/align]

Umm... not bad at all.
But, his sister is named Cynthia like the e4 champ? Can't say I like that. Also, like before, your dialogue needs to be shortened. Try to put more description into the scene happening, give us a vivid and accurate picture of what's happening in the story. The dialogue should add to the story, not take it all up.
