This might arguably be the "best" variation.

Variant 3 still revolves around Naganadel GX and 1 other key, Metal Pokémon. With the introduction of the new Celestrial Storm set, the new Stakataka GX can be leveraged. Of particular note, Stakataka GX's Ability provides immediate healing when the active Ultra Beast receives damage, and this healing Ability is "stacked" when multiple Stakataka GXs are benched.

The core deck components could consist of:

1 Kartana GX
4 Poipole
3 Naganadel GX
3 Stakataka GX
2 Celesteela GX
1 Dusk Mane Necrozma
2 Dusk Mane Necrozma GX
1 Beast energy
3 Beast Ring
2 Max Potion
8-10 Metal energy

Hi TuxedoBlack,

Consider this Pokémon line:

Pokémon (14):

  • 2 Dusk Mane Necrozma (beatdown)
  • 1 Celesteela SM7 (beatdown)
  • 3 Naganadel GX (beatdown)
  • 4 Poipole SM5+ (evolutions)
  • 3 Stakataka GX (beatdown)
  • 1 Kartana GX (beatdown)
Kartana GX can be replaced with Tapu Lele GX if needed or with another Metal Ultra Beast. I do not believe that this deck needs Dusk Mane Necrozma GX since Naganadel decks do not provided the needed assistance for this card to function well. I also would balance the number of Pokémon GX and non-GX in this deck to enable it to trade more favorable. The Metal variant can afford to do so since it has a decent arsenal of Metal Ultra Beasts at it's disposal.

Hi. I personally think that the way to go will be 4 Stakataka in order to insure that you get them out. I really like Kartana GX because its GX can really be a deciding factor to your game. I would also consider one of the new "baby" Celesteela or Kartana. These could be useful in dealing with alolan ninetales as well as gardevoir GX.

Kartana – Metal – HP60
Basic Pokemon (Ultra Beast)
[M][M] Kamikaze: 40+ damage. If your opponent has 6 Prize cards remaining, this attack does 90 more damage.
Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 1

Kartana, yes, but I don't think that Celesteela is really all that useful comparitively. Otherwise, this is very much a thread I'll be watching. Keep up the good work! :D

Thanks. The Celesteela GX might be considered as a secondary attacker; so, it could useful in some situations.

A good Poké pal of mine recently mentioned that the Metal Frying Pan Tool would be a good addition too IF I plan to use any of the Metal Pokémon as secondary attackers.

Lastly, I plan to switch the counts on the DM Necrozma Pokémon: 2 DM Necrozma and 1 DM Necrozma GX.
