I don't know if it's been announced yet. I know the mods were accepting applications and such, but I don't know if a firm host (or host group) has been chosen.

As the remaining competitors continued to yell out their answers at Ruk, Rev3rsor simply decided to answer each and every puzzle. Devin couldn't take the pressure, and jumped out the window.
Ruk shook his head, "Well I suppose that will be all for that challenge, so how many are- Only two?"
At that moment, the sky began to change to thick oily color. An echo of a laugh could be heard. From above. Ruk sighed and calmly walked toward the hallway, gesturing for Athena and Rev to follow him.
"What was that?" Rev asked.
"Don't worry about that, worry about the last challenge you'll have to do." Ruk nodded to where they had reached. Same old stadium, save the middle of the room, which was filled with multiple Pokeballs.
"Pick yours! I must consult with the master while you duel..."

THE CHALLENGE

To truly see who is worthy of the title of Challenge Champion, the finals will be held in three parts.

1 - Pokemon Battle
...Come on, this is a Pokemon site. Let's go back to our roots here though. Gen 1 matches. Simply build them on PS and have at it. Best of 3 wins.

2 - ???
???

3 - ???
???.

Whoever wins two out of three of these challenges is the winner! Good luck!

Around what times are you available, rev? I'm typically here on and off 8am-5pm my time (Central European), which is the equivalent of 2am-11am Eastern American time. Just gimme a day or so to bribe someone into making a team for me figure out what I'm doing.

Keeper, what do you mean by Gen 1? We can use any Pokémon or whatever we want so long as it's in the first 151?

Gen 1 as in... Only what was available then.
You can always Google it, smogon has a rule set you can follow for it.

So no items or abilities or natures or anything? How do you even set that in Showdown? I just opened up to see and they do have a "[Gen 1] OU" setting, but it still lists all the Pokémon and they automatically have abilities and stuff.

And the only thing I was able to find via smogon/google was this, which seems kind of advice oriented, but is incredibly specific and not really a thing for the whole generation.

If you select Gen 1 OU it automatically disregards natures and abilities. If you try and enter the fight without first generation moves, items or Pokémon it cancels your battle request and tells you what's wrong, so it's fine.
