If you want my top thirteen favorite Disney movies I have seen, here they are.

13. Dinosaur (Very underrated and overlooked, it's basically a darker version of "The Land Before Time", only without the unnecessary amount of sequels)
12. The Jungle Book (Probably the oldest one on this list, but it's still great. Great set of characters, catchy soundtrack. What else can I say?)
11. Lilo & Stitch (It had a great bond between girl and alien. Plus, the trailers with other Disney works were hilarious)
10. Hercules (Sure, it wasn't true to the original myth, but it still had some intense action and the perfect amount of drama)
9. Mulan (The side characters totally make this movie)
8. Brother Bear (I really liked the story behind it, plus, I have always been fascinated by wildlife.)
7. Robin Hood (True to the original, only with furries for some reason...)
6. The Emperor's New Groove (I was in stitched when I first saw this one)
5. Tarzan (Very intense. Especially with the Tree-Surfing. I wonder how many splinters he would've gotten? XD)
4. The Hunchback of Notre Dame (One of the darkest children's cartoons of all time. Plus the villain was a brute.)
3. Aladdin (Most likely the first Disney movie aimed toward boys. It had adventure and action, and Robin Williams was epic as Genie)
2. Wreck-it Ralph (My love for video games put this one on here. It would be on par with number one if it had Pokemon, though...)
1. The Lion King (My childhood summed up in three words. I want to see this take on Hamlet on Broadway, too.)

Note: Please remember to explain why you like or dislike the movie, and refrain from only listing Disney movies (such posts will be removed). If this post gets updated, please do not remove this tag. Thanks!

Despite my age, I'm a huge Disney geek. :D

I visit Disney World every couple years; my next planned trip is with my husband, my parents, and my nephew around New Years. My sister actually works in Disneyland in California, and I hope to fly there to visit her and see DL again (haven't been there since ~'99) soon, and also Disneyland Paris now that I'm living in Europe. For everyone that writes the Disney Parks off as a kid thing, I actually enjoy it a lot as an adult, possibly more than I did as a kid, since I can appreciate things more, and I can pace myself so I don't wear myself to nothing.

I'm also a huge fan of the Disney animated movies and have been since I was a kid. Hard to create a list of my favourites, but Mulan, Frozen, Wall-E, Wreck-It Ralph, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, Tangled, and Lion King are all up there. I also love the "Disney-fied" fantasy TV show Once Upon A Time. I really like the turn modern Disney has taken to make their shows and movies more relatable and less formulaic, but of course a lot of the classics are very good, too.

I found hidden humor while seeing Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King in 3D that went straight over my head as a kid.

Also.. You can thank Kingdom Hearts for rekindling my faith in Disney.

I pretty much grew up on Disney as a kid. I had a ton of movies on VHS that are sadly donated away now and that's something I regret having to do. I also watched the Disney channel a lot too. To this day, I have a special place in my heart for Disney and all the memories that I remember when I was younger. I have quite a few favorites that would take too long to list (like the old stand by classics and Pixar films that are obviously stunning) but I might as well list off some ones that I never really see mentioned that much but ones that really resonated with me when I was younger and still do today like Oliver and Company, Fox and the Hound, The Emperor's New Groove, etc.

dmaster out.

I remember many tapes breaking, broke two copies of Robin Hood (still my favorite Disney movie), broke one copy of Dumbo, a copy of The Aristocats, and I believe I broke a copy of one of The Rescuer's movies. I don't think I've seen a (classic) Disney movie that I didn't like. I've liked every Pixar movie that I've seen as well.

What?

Disney is for all ages and you are still very young. I saw The Sword in the Stone in the theaters, got a cheap ring. I bet that ring would be worth a few dollars here, a half century later.

Eh, sometimes I get flack for being a Disney buff as an adult. Just like I sometimes get flack for being a Pokémon/MLP/whatever-have-you fan as an adult. I talk about going to Disney parks and people assume I'm taking my kids, that sort of thing. I've learned long ago to not let it affect me, though. :p

I don't like Disney anymore but that's because I find the stories dull and it's always the same Good vs Evil battle where the first always wins but I don't despise or think it's weird to be an adult and a fan of Disney. It's far better being a Disney's fan than a hooligan and/or sports nuts whose main concern is a bunch of guys playing and gets happier when their team wins some event than living with his wife & children to the point where the pinnacle of happiness would be the team winning all than his (because most of them are males) family; or those (mostly) females that just enjoy gossiping about everything and more so when there's a reality show going on tv.

Edit: despite my first sentence, I plan on watching Maleficent when it premiers here in Portugal (5th of June or so).

PS: so people find it akward to be an adult and going to Disneyland but perhaps don't find it akward and dangerous to take babies and small children to soccer stadiums!?

I kind of grew out of Disney once they did their new generation stuff. Like Tangled, Frozen, and the new Maleficent film. *shudders at that Maleficent movie*

I grew up with the weird side of Disney cause I was surrounded by a bunch of older relatives:

The Black Cauldron, labeled to scary for kids, is still my all time nostalgic movie for me. It's what I loved as a kid.

Oliver 'n Company

Balto

Fantasia 2000

Disney had done nothing to surprise as of yet. And I'm getting pretty fed up that the only two adult movies they took on to appease their adult fans was

Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean

They just lack originality Disney. Thing is I grew up with them when I was a kid. I want them to do better. I want them to see the light.

About Maleficent, having seen the trailers, the movie was just somewhat spoiled in knowing who's going to be the evil looking king, and so the reasons behind most of the movie are also spoiled. Knowing that Maleficent's role was built for Angelina didn't helped.
The worst moments: Maleficent having that name and horns since birth (would have made much more impact if they were to grow (and aquiring the name) after turning evil) and the King dying like it was nothing.
Also, to a minor extent, too bad that Maleficent didn't killed those awful and annoying colored fairies!

The best moments: seeing Maleficent raising her army and seeing men flying and once again, when she turned Diaval into a dragon and men were flying once more!

The movie was short and disappointing. Disney, you've lost all your sparkle!

Disney has not lost it's sparkle yet. They did published the Percy Jackson books and are now publishing many new IPs this year.

It really bothers me how Disney has abandoned 2D animation in its movies. I feel that medium is better for expressing emotions and expressions than CG. I understand why they dropped it, though. CG is cheaper to animate and kids think it's cooler. And there's also the whole 3D in theaters thing.

As for TV series, cartoons like Gravity Falls give me hope that 2D isn't completely dead for Disney. Also, dat trailer.
