Okay, I've seen some horrible FanFics and some really good ones. I've seen long and short, original and just plain, "Did you copy the script from the series?", ya know?
Anyways, I have decided to create a FanFic Rating thread, where i will rate FanFics out of fifteen points in the following categories:
Originality
0-You copied the the show
1-you are using a storyline from the show with originaly characters
2-Original idea, but you are using characters from the show
3-Nothing about your Fic is copied from the show (For Pokémon Fics, this excludes cities, regions, towns, and gym leaders)
Length per chapter
0-I read the chapter before I could beat a level one Gible with a level 100 Arceus Ice Type's Blizzard
1-Took me less than five minutes to read
2-Not bad. Had to scroll down to read it
3-OMG this chapter was long!
Plotline
0-You are jumping around WAY too much
1-An okay plot, needs more development
2-Very nice idea, but needs something more
3-The whole story makes sense and adds up in the end. Only one or two major plots.
Character Development
0-Your characters are copied from the show
1-Original Characters, but they suck.
2-Original Characters, created all of them.
3-Original Charater, based on other people you actually know or are from this site.
Overall
0-I hate it.
1-Um...it's ok...for a first grader
2-Not too shabby! Needs some more work, and has potential.
3-Loved it...simple as that!
