I guess I don't understand the point of Volcanion EX in this deck when most of your cards are evolutions anyway. Also if you are trying to play Volcanion EX in a powerful way, you should consider playing PRC Torchic with the barrage ancient trait. I have play tested it and it actually proves to be quite useful when tagged along with muscle band and Volcanion EX.

Oh shoot! Thanks, I guess I didn't look close enough at Volcanion, I thought it was all fire Pokemon! Thanks! I like the idea of the torchic, I might sub torchic for volcanion. I probably wont use muscle band because I think I want this to stay in standard after the rotation.

3. When I first read volcanion, I thought it said for all fire Pokemon, but I looked at it again later, and realized it was just basics.

Okay fair enough but if you knew that you could only get one talonflame from his ability then why did you run 4 talon flames but only 2 Fletchlings

I agree. The basic Talonflame is already a good card. So you would want to speed up the process of getting Talonflame BREAK by playing mostly the Talonflame with the ability as your basic Pokémon. Also be careful with Torchic it is all but worthless when not combined with Volcanion EX.

Oh I see. Maybe I will try that combo in a different deck and do something else for this one
 
How do people get the Shaymin EXs from Roaring Skies? Those things are 50 dollars a card, which is even more than most Mega Charizards!

They don't JK most people either 1 Trade for them 2. have a job and can afford to buy them or 3. get lucky as heck and pull them ;)
 
instead of talonflame break i would suggest Mega Houndoom it takes less space and does 10 more damage and 80 damage without the discard as it is optional to do the discard. If however you are set on Talonflame break i see no reason to not use burning energy as that special energy was made for Fire types like talonflame break. Also 8 Fire energys and 2 Max elixer mean your not going to get much usage out of it so their are much better things to put in your deck to raise consistency. in the same way captivating pokepuff is a cool item but otherwise not usefull in your deck

Thanks. I will probably take out 2 pokepuff, 2 elixer, take out 4 fire energy, add 4 burning energy and 2 other trainers. :)

I got lucky. I bought a booster box when it came out and got two non full art Shaymin EX out of it. A friend of mine got a full art one off the internet for 25 because the condition was "played" and not "mint" so IDK maybe look for one that is in lower class condition if it doesn't bother you to much. Also something to consider is 50 or so dollars roughly converts to 10 or eleven packs (for me about 20 because there is this awesome place near where I live). So maybe you would prefer taking the chance of buying a pack (or several packs at that). This might sound kinda mean, but it will surprise you how many little children under the age 9 have super valuable cards like Shaymin EX. Most of the time they don't even know what it's worth. So you could easily hand them a couple of a cool but sort of worthless ex's adding up to about $40 and they would love it, you will get a Shaymin EX for a bunch of out of date Latios EX (plus you don't feel like you are ripping them off).:rolleyes:I find a lot of these sort of kids within my own neighborhood, and often at little clubs around town.

Still,given, it is obviously very difficult to get a Shaymin EX let alone two. A lot of luck is involved with getting one if you don't want to straight up buy it.
