That sounds really cool! I played some matches, regular slayer, averaged 24 kills a game, had a perfect game my first game (24 kills, 0 deaths) and such, it was fun. Missed you guys

So I got the game annnd...the Campaign oh my! It was amazing, I'm especially impressed with the graphics. The only thing I dislike is that there's no ranking off of beating the campaign >:[ I'm also pretty impressed with the new weapons, although imo the Incineration Cannon, the acc is the worst out of the Rocket Launcher, etc. Also, I am about to try out Disc 2 also...

Disc 2 is the installation for the multiplayer for disc 1!
Yeah, the campaign is really pretty, I'll admit! Yeah, no rank for that, but... Makes sense, so people can't get REALLY high off just the campaign. And the campaign, I don't think, has ever attributed to the overall rank of the spartan.

Actually, it'd help players like me who don't have XBL That's how I got to Brigadier in Reach.

Ah, I see what you mean... Yeah, they should have points available when you play forge or custom games to get credits in

...NOT. I suck compared to him. Highest is a triple for me. I did it with a sniper and shotgun though. It was skills.

I think I'm going to pick this game up during Target's Black Friday sale. With the $20 gift card they give with the purchase of the game, I'll pick up an XBox Live code so we can play sometime.
While this really did not effect my decision to purchase the game, my friend says this game is the worst of the Halo series, and it's too close to Call of Duty. Having only played Reach out of all the Halo games, and never even seen game play of Call of Duty, how accurate is his statement? And is being 'too close to Call of Duty' a negative trait?

I hate to say it, but your friend is pretty much wrong on all accounts. Yes, the game does feature loadouts, but no single loadout/ability has a clear advantage, and really just affect your playstyle if nothing else. Players WANT to customize their gameplay experience, and I think 343 is taking steps in the right direction to do so. Reach was actually worse in the loadout department because some armor abilities had clear advantages over the others, and were easily exploitable by some players.
In other words, don't let CoD fanboys discourage you from buying this masterpiece of a game. Both games are connected by the same genre, but are worlds apart in terms of the story and multiplayer features.
