Is there any way to replace the internal battery on RSE aside from tearing the cartridge open?
 
You could always use the Colosseum Bonus Disk for that. There's also something you can do to fix it involving FR/LG, but I can't remember, so just check Serebii.net. It's in the Fire Red and Leaf Green section, on the very bottom of the list of pages. Hope this helps. Also, I don't think tearing the cartridge open would help all too much.
 
Short answer: No.

You might be able to use the berry glitch to fix it, but if not, then you have to change the battery, but you lose all your saved data
