The Kanji Region, a vast, civilised world inhabited by humans and Pokemon living together in harmony. Kanji was once said to be the resting place of the great creator, Arcues, during his thousand-year sleep. But people don't seem to talk that way anymore.

Fifty years ago, Kanji broke out into chaos. A mysterious and evil Pokemon, the undoer of all the good founded in the beginning by Arcues, struck, and drove the people against themselves. Riots broke out, crime rates sky-rocketed, and the fertile bond established betweenst Pokemon and humans was nearly broken, had not the saviors appeared.

Two Pokemon dwelling formerly in silence rose up against the chaos and brought peace and control. Then, they disappeared, never to be seen again.

Then, to everyone's shock, a man by the name of Silas Nolan, a professor of Pokemon and powerful speaker, announced publicly that he had been the people's savior from the crisis. He convinced everyone that the Pokemon whom had been rumored to have been their saviors, were merely fables. He was the true hero. And in return for his help, he declared himself emporer over the entire Kanji Region.

The inhabitants, a peaceful, and well-meaning people, were so unused to this kind of uprising that they did nothing to stop it. Soon, Silas had ammassed a group of followers who defended him and his thrown.

Next, he established a code of ethics for the region, in which, the existance of legendary Pokemon at all was denounced. All of the tales and legends that people had been taught to believe in, such as Arceus and his divine creation, and the great war betweenst Groudon and Kyogre. It was all myth, fantasy.

And thus, the region fell into a state of silence, and for fifty years it remained that way. But that would all change today, when a certain young Pokemon trainer meets a Pokemon the likes of which he has never seen before. A legendary Pokemon. And he will soon break the silence.

Alright, so far I have the story and a few of the fakemon done for this project. Now, I would like to restate that this is NOT A GAME THREAD. I have to admit that I kinda suck at programming and am not really that interested in turning this into a game anyways, its just for fun.

Also, I've tried using art programs to enhance the color of my fakemon but, it only turned out sub-par, and so I decided to return to my original old-fashioed coloring method of hand-coloring. (I actually prefer it)

Hey Daren!

I have a game I'm programing, and I was wondering if I could use some of these Pokemon in the game. Of course I'd give credit. Let me know if that's alright with you.


On a side note:

Will I be seeing you at the Battle roads?

Sure, you can use them, Im not going to be making a game anytime soon so they might as well go to some use lol. And yes, you will most DEFINATELY be seeing me at BRs :D

Acortort: This is good, and cute, but its right hand looks like its cut off... And doesn't that kind of remind you of this: http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f141/scampy789/Siniseed.jpg

Treemor: Great job on the name. It's okay. A bit like grotle though, but I like the acorn top. I wouldn't say it's like grotle if it wasn't like it, and a second stage grass starter.

Silvagon: Cool, don't really get the name, but its eye looks a bit off, like the way the neck is curving it makes it look like the eye is separated from the head. Otherwise, great job.

Mandaburn: Looks more like a dark type. But really great job.

Mandablaze: Attack of the killer Ladybug!!! This looks awesome and a great final evolution of a starter.

4 question marks: I really don't know what to think. It's cool, but also looks like the toasted marshmellow pokemon. (which is also cool.)

Maskoon: I know it's supposed to be a raccoon, but it looks like a squirrel in skateboarding gear wearing see-in-the-dark goggles.

Second set of 4 question marks: Spooky... This is a great ghost pokemon. Looks like an evil bannette (more evil then normal) stuffed into a child's stuffed animal.

Magica: This looks awesome. Very good job. Nuf said.

Shifto: Now it looks like gastly. I can't tell whether this line is ghost or psychic. I guess that could be a good combo. And you did a pretty good job at mixing them, except with the ghost side now overpowering I'm failing to see the psychic.

Magastar: Okay, awesome poker playing ghost. No mouth, which I am undecided whether that is good or bad for him because:
1. he can't say call or fold.
2. At least no one can read his Poker Face.

Abysspirt: Pretty cool, except I don;t get what the things on his back are and I don't get its hands.

Eskimini: A mini marshmellow snowboarder. Move aside Snover, you just been replaced.

Electrobite: Can't see him electrobiting anytime soon, but this is the cutest electric pokemon since Pikachu.

Prototite: Eeek! There goes cuteness. I feel like he's going to explode in my face.... (Prototite + Electrode. BFFL)

Neutrozite: Gengar stood to close to a powerplant and became this.

Doodlre: The doodler! Smeargle evo! AWESUM!!!!!

Lanstream: Epic, just epic. Norwhale FTW

Third set of 4 question marks: Looks like: http://www.shawnimals.com/assets/569/340x/000368.png?1228511254 But, I own the app its from so live on my ninja friend!!!

Fourth and Hopefully final set of 4 question marks: Probably the only one I don't like. I don't know why... just don't sorry...



Overall I love this set. Keep up the great work. =)

I like the theory, but to me, (Please take this critically, not offensively) they look like mashups of pre-existing Pokemon. MandaBlaze is reminiscent of a Heatran, Acritot is Seedot + Turtwig. The ? is Eevee and something else?

I like your story, but these just... Don't make it for me.
Again, please take this as criticism, not trolling.

Acortot is cool as well -- looks like it could be the prevo of Aobasubasu, the fake evolution of Turtwig before DP came out.

I appreciate the comments/critiques and i will look into all suggestions, thanks for the help :)

Also, i added 13 more, so make sure to check em' out, Ill try to add some legendarys soon but these arre tho only ones i have drawn atm.

Also, If anyone has any name suggestions for those without names or for anyone else for my consideration, please post them!

Hmmm... Idk, i see what your saying, but Anglerot mdoesnt seem quite big enough to be a stage 2. Plus, you could say that about Pokemon like Gyarados, Whiscash, and Milotic, etc... I know those are kinda special but...

I really like the new set of them better than the others. For the name suggestion maybe Spedigriff (Sped - i - Griff)

Spedigriff, as in, like a Griffon? I'd like to try to incorporate the word pegasus into the name if possible, but still a good name.

Also, I've added seven more, which brings it to a current total of 40.

Yeah they do know. Mantiscythe, I like the name. But the picture doesn't have a scythe. So the name just doesn't really fit...

I like your fakemon ideas. Some of them are very original and creative! I think your best one, artistically, is Abysspirit. Do you want to establish your own art style or want to capture Sugimori's art style in your fakemon? I think you are on the right track in terms of working on your own art style and, once you improve, I think your art style will significantly improve. My only problem is that it seems that some of them are floating in the air or on standing on weird angles. Also, some of the color has gone outside the lines.
