Moved to the Entertainment and Gaming Section. I'm actually a pretty big fan of the series myself, though I've only played a couple select titles from it (namely more recent ones from like Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time). Of the ones I have played, Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess are definitely my favorites. Skyward Sword easily had the strongest storyline in my opinion, and Twilight Princess had some of the most memorable characters I thought.

Edit: Allow me to clarify that I do not consider this a favorites thread! Ergo, it is remaining open to actually discuss the Legend of Zelda series. If other mods feel differently, then feel free to override my decision by moving it elsewhere or locking it.

Never played Wind Waker, Never could get a hold of it. All the others, yes I've played. MY favorite is Skyward Sword. Great story, Great graphics, an excellent game.

I have only played a few, but I love the series.
I only played the 3DS remake of OoT, Spirit Tracks, Link´s Awakening DX, The Minish Cap and Four Swords. (Not Adventures) I have also tried the original and Zelda II, but I´m not even halfway through them. : P

I´m looking forward to play Skyward Sword and Majora´s Mask someday, though.

A lot of people argue that OoT was the best in the series, but Skyward Sword seemed a lot better because it's storyline was disconnected from the rest of the series due it preluding the other titles in general. It was also kind of a hard game to play through at times, particularly with bosses such as The Imprisoned and Demise. It took me hours just to beat both, especially The Imprisoned's second and third battles.

Yeah, Zelda 1 and II are hard.

ewww, no.

I played OoT, got immediately hooked and played it for a full summer.
I got Skyward Sword, played for about two hours, got bored because of it's lameness.

I have played all LoZ games except:
Majora's Mask
Four Swords (I have the 3DS version, just not played... yet)
Four Swords Adventure (that's an entirely different game... or?)
Spirit Tracks (I have it, just not played... yet)
Wind Waker (I have it, just not played... yet)
Skyward Sword

Also, I have yet to beat Zelda I (I don't know where the next dungeon is and I don't approve of FAQ:s lol) and Zelda II (not actually stuck, just haven't played for a while) lol.

And of course the CDi:s and those lost japanese BS games that were only broadcasted in the 90:ties. xP

So far my favourite is Twilight Princess. <3

Skyward Sword is NOT lame. It is imo The best out of all of them. You probably didn't Get past the first dungeon (hence the awesome part.)

Even Twilight Princess was pretty lame until you beat the first dungeon. Then it got awsome.

I have to agree a little with HypnoticLuxray. The introductory stuff was sort of lame and downplayed. The game's storyline really picked up after the first dungeon, though. And it was a similar case with Twilight Princess and Wind Waker too. I'd say the same for OoT 3DS, but you were thrown into the action almost immediately after getting your traveling partner (whatever the fairy was called).

All of you who have never played Wind Waker are missing out. It's not only my favorite LoZ game, but my favorite game of all time. Epic dungeons, awesome bosses, and (in my opinion), sweet graphics.

I totally Agree. I love WindWaker. Also, I love the games music.

Skyward Sword was really fun but it was really bogged down by several questionable design choices (limited exploration, sidequest-like goals haphazardly welded to the main story, the terrible second and third boss fights against the Imprisoned) that kept it from being truly great.

my favorites in the series were probably Ocarina (of course) and Link's Awakening. I also love Majora's Mask's atmosphere and story, but its dungeons and boss fights are pretty lame.

I played Wind Waker a bit when it came out but didn't really like it, but I've been meaning to pick it up again to at least try to get further.

I never COULD play it because I 1: Wasn't into zelda when it came out and 2:I cant find it anywhere!

Good lord this series is awesome.

It may just be the nostalgia but definitely the game that has stuck with me the most over the years has been Ocarina of Time. Thankfully, SS pretty much threw that game out the window and I can throw away my rose colored glasses along with it. It's honestly just a better game.

dmaster out.

I'm agreeing 100% with everyone who says Wind Waker is the best game in the series. It may just be nostalgia (WW was my first Zelda), but I loved the whole look and feel of young Link, and it's one game that I could play over and over again and never get tired of.

I'm not saying the rest of the series isn't amazing though. I've played through OoT three times total (twice on the Wii Virtual Console, once on my 3DS), Skyward Sword once (probably my 2nd favorite Zelda next to Wind Waker), and Twilight Princess once (although I'm working on a 2nd playthrough). I'm currently trying to beat Link to the Past, but I'm not really sure where to go. I also own Zelda 1 and 2, as well as Mojara's Mask, but those games are hard. I can understand the difficulty for Zelda 1/2, but Majora's Mask was a big letdown for me. I really didn't like the whole 3 day system, especially in a game as huge as Zelda with so much to see and do.

Four Swords is awesome with friends as well. Just my 2 cents on the whole series.

Wasn't Wind Waker from Retro Studios? Everything they touch turns to gold. Just look at the Metroid Prime series.

I don't have a GameCube and my Wii is the new one that doesn't support the GameCube Games, so I haven't played it.
