Master List of Active Fanfics​
Listed below is every active fanfic in the past month. Once it has been dead a month, the fanfic will be taken off of this list. Fanfics will be sorted in two categories; Pokemon-Related and Non-Pokemon fanfics.

AUTHORS: Since we have other things to do, if you want your story added here quicker, POST A LINK TO IT. Also, your story must have TWO ENTRIES to be considered, unless your story only has one entry.

Thanks for the directory. I'm working on an awesome fan fic as of now so I will hopefully have one that is active enough that it could recieve attention through the thread. xD

I cannot find any errors as of now but maybe a few will turn up later once I have stared at it for a while. This is another great idea that will make the Fan Creations forum a purely better place! ^_^

I'm hijacking this thread.

Because I don't want to add some dumb one-post story every time one gets made, you must have at least two installments to your story to be added to the library.

You must also post if you'd like your story added here. Please provide a link to the first post of your story and someone will add it ASAP.

PS in case none of you guys can take a joke, B-Ray knows I'm hijacking this thread so cool your jets, y'all.

Actually I'd like to suggest an even stricter version of what PMJ already proposed. Although two installments would perhaps cut back on what gets submitted here (but hey it's still pretty inactive so far!), it doesn't sort through those stories that have many chapters, but only a paragraph each. So I'd like to suggest a word limit, or something along those lines instead.

The word 'installments' is open to interpretation - more specifically, my interpretation. Chapters that are a paragraph long aren't gonna cut it with me.

You guys wanna know why this was never updated?

No one listened. Dictator Dauntless was the only one who did what I asked.

The dead stories have been removed and I'm pretty sure I have all the links right, if I forgot to change one please let me know.

I have a disagreement here.

One-shots (Short stories) can be of excellent quality. In fact, you could be a writer that only writes short stories. IS IT FAIR to not include them in the library? Perhaps have a character minimum for them to be added, but I personally don't think it's fair when someone posts a short story of excellent quality and just because they wrote a story they aren't added to the library.

That particular story has not been posted in in over a month.

Also, I understand what you're getting at, 42 chocolate. What do you guys think about adding oneshots that have no plans to be updated? It doesn't make sense to just add every entry that gets created ever, so this way longer stories will still be added while quality oneshots will still get the recognition they deserve.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Explain, please.

And by the way, just because a one-shot is not alive doesn't mean you can't add it to the library for other people to read.

I somewhat agree. It might be nice if we add an archive of the library for some good reads.

Okay.

The purpose of the library is to provide links to active stories. I don't want to add every new thread that gets made, because despite good intentions, a lot of stuff never gets past the first chapter. That's why I made having two installments a requirement - it shows that you care enough to work towards making a great tale.

However... 42 chocolate, you mentioned that people who do good oneshots get no recognition in the library, because they only have one installment, despite how good they are. This is a good point, and I agree that people who do good work should have their stories added.

By adding an exception to the "two installments" rule, people who do oneshots can still have their stories added to the library without having to worry about creating a second installment so they can be added.

The only reason I added the "two installments" rule was to prevent things like this from happening. Adding a story that ends up failing before it even gets started just doesn't make sense to me.

I also agree with an archive of sorts for past stories, both for full fics and little oneshots. It may be possible to start something like that up. I think we'd have to come up with some sort of requirements for a story being added; the archive will become too cluttered if we simply add every finished story.
