Have you guys tried out the new Myspace yet? I know I have seen some people moving back to it.

- What are your first impressions?
- Will you be using it regularly?
- Can it be popular once again, or is Facebook too far ahead of them?

I would offer my impressions on the new Myspace, but I don't even understand how to sign up. The only available option on the page is to "go back to the old myspace".

I don't really think Myspace will take over the social networking field again. But then again I haven't seen it yet, as I stated above. So i'll leave my final opinion until later. But it's going to have to be really revolutionary for there to be a mass migration back from Facebook. And yes, a mass migration will be necessary for it to really be considered popular again, because the majority of people aren't going to try to keep up with 2 networking sites. Also, who knows how Myspace's past reputation will affect people's view of it now.

For me, I won't be using it unless everyone I know starts switching over. Obviously, because Myspace is nothing unless your social network is present.

It's a really nice interface, and it sure is a heck of a lot cleaner than the old Myspace. I'm just not sure if it's enough to make people migrate back over to it. I know plenty of people still have a negative view of Myspace.

The problem is: MySpace was cool for a you get audience, but then they all lived to Facebook. But now, there are people of all ages on Facebook. I think maybe younger teenagers might try out MySpace, but older audiences will be less willing to switch. There's not really anything wrong with Facebook (even though I personaly think the design is way too busy and complicated, which is one reason many prefer Twitter.)
