The 'original story'?

Well, this is sort of related to the TCG so I guess this is the best place to ask. Anyway, I was reading up on the different sets of Pokemon cards when I saw a site (it's not Serebii or Bulbapedia. I can't remember which site it was and I couldn't find it in my history folder) which mentioned that the events/ story behind the delta species Pokemon was somewhat different in the Japanese version as EX Delta Species was released before EX Legend Makers in the English versions.

Yes I have tried Google (and Yahoo and Bing for that matter) and searched just about every probable 'keyword' that i might have used but i haven't found that particular piece of info. I would be really grateful if someone can show me the 'original' storyline (or PM me the link)

Thanks in advance. :)

EDIT: @Metalizard: Yea I had read that article on Bulbapedia before. The thing is (and I cant really remember what I read that day. Something about the experiment going wrong that is different.) it is more detailed than that. Then again, it seems probable that I remembered wrongly. Well I guess your explanation is the best there is. Thanks.

As far as I know, the only difference is that PUSA wanted to release Ex Legend Maker at the same time when the 8th movie came out in the US so they released EX Delta Species first and messed up the entire story order... Just treat Ex Legend Maker as if it was released before Delta Species... IIRC, in Legend Maker, it has something to do with finding Mew in the Mirage Forest (which is the japanese name of Legend Maker set) which is part of Holon and then the scientists decided to do experiments in the Holon tower making the surrounding Pokémon becoming delta species, idk for sure... I think Bulbapedia has an article about this...

EDIT: I knew I read this on Bulbapedia.
Here's the info on the Legend Maker page I have in my PC:
EX Legend Maker introduces the location of Mirage Forest, which is home to many rare Pokémon, including the elusive Mew. In Japan, it was later revealed that the human inhabitants of this area (in Holon) were conducting research and experiments on the activities of Mew, which inadvertently caused the creation of Delta Species Pokémon. This information was absent in the English version of EX Delta Species due to the earlier-than-intended release.

and then comes Delta Species story:
The set introduces the Holon Research Tower, located in the middle of the Mirage Forest (which was introduced in EX Legend Maker, hence why it was to be released before Delta Species); it is the home of scientists who conduct research on Mew and strange new Pokémon. These Pokémon have been altered by a wave of electromagnetic radiation produced by an experiment gone awry at Holon labs. The result is a new species of Pokémon called the Delta Species, symbolized by the lower-case delta (δ). These new Pokémon possess types different from their original and some, in their fully evolved forms, are partially Metal-types.

EDIT2:
Well, the Holon page has slightly more details and basically resumes what I posted above:
According to press release statements prior to Delta Species-era expansions and information on booster packs, the Holon region was inhabited by humans who wished to search for the elusive Mirage Pokémon Mew. Establishing a city (also called Holon), scientists utilized the unique magnetic properties of the area to produce waves of electromagnetic energy via a large tower in the city center to track the location of Mew. The resulting electromagnetic waves apparently caused the local Pokémon to mutate into abnormal types inconsistent with their genes elsewhere, with their highest evolved forms typically having Metal as a type. The affected Pokémon came to be known as Delta Species.

You can check the Bulbapedia article for Holon anyway. It has more details about the backstory of each Delta set...

Wow, that is an interesting story. Hey, are you talking about that old(like 4-5 years old I think, it was on Kids WB) pokemon show where there were delta species and some evil people(NOT team rocket) got inside Pikachu's memory and they saw Mewtwo. So made created a delta Mewtwo, it was awesome.

^Uh? What? This is a TCG-only story made to introduce a new mechanic...

Oh, I think you're talking about the anime special "Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon" or somethin' like that... But that special has nothing to do with this...
