Pokemon The Pokémon Company Confirms Generation 5 on Twitter?

Earlier today, The Pokémon Company opened up a new Twitter account. They have a special feature called "Trainer Tuesday" where fans may submit questions. An interesting one was submitted, where a member questioned if Arceus was the last Pokémon. The Pokémon Company responded by saying, "Arceus is powerful, but it isn't the last Pokémon. Many new lands with new Pokémon have yet to be explored".

Many new lands with new Pokémon? This arguably proves they have a new generation of Pokémon in the works. What do you think?

In a response to a previous question, they said, "At the end of the twelfth movie, Arceus bids our heroes farewell. But it may have a cameo in a future movie!" More Arceus appearances? Should be interesting if this is true.

I'm not suprised if they have gen 5 already done. lol Interesting, very interesting indeed. The "Ghost of Arceus" would be a pretty fail reappearance. but yeah, Arceus in future movies or episodes, not too suprising. They do it all the time, for example, mew and Ho-Oh
 
I'm pretty sure we already knew there was going to be a 5th Generation, but it wasn't necessarily confirmed. Cool find, though. I guess I should make a Twitter account now if I want to keep up. ;p

Arceus being in other movies does sound pretty cool, especially because it's the God of Pokemon or something. Which is pretty logical if you think about it, it may not be the last Pokemon, but it is at the top of the hierarchy (for all we know right now).
 
I thought it was confirmed, although if it wasn't, it was insanely obvious.

It would be awesome if there were some more games and newer pokemon because I've completed the pokedex for each game that is currently bring sold. But what animals would they try to represent? They'd have to start doing insects! ( eeeewww)
 
Gale, you do know whenever someone says "We'll meet again!" in Pokemon odds are they never met again. Like Pidgeot, are some people from previous anime episodes. Oh well, this is a movie so whatever:p

Anyways, nice find. I still think the 5th generation was already confirmed, but this just confirms even more.
 
If the 5th Generation was already confirmed, wouldn't they have actually mentioned it exactly? ;p

I could see Arceus being tied into some sort of Johto movie. They've already done a movie based on all of the legendary Pokémon in Johto (except for Raikou), so I wouldn't be surprised if Arceus made a return soon.

I guess so, but it's too early to say anything for sure and the didn't say it was done forever lol.

Even if The Pokemon Company doesn't even know if they will have a generation, what are they going to say? "Nope, Sorry. Arceus is the last pokemon, and there will not be any new stuff." I am sure there will be new generation. It would be nice if they could give more detail in such precedures. Most pokemon fans already know this stuff. The little half-responses they give are just to satisfy those who are noobs, or don't use common sense.
 
They could have given a more mysterious response. They could have said "Maybe, maybe not. Wait and see!" At least it would give us something and would still make us hopeful, but at the same time might quell some rumors. But because they gave a relatively accurate response by saying "Many new lands with new Pokémon", instead of a more general one, which would have been open for interpretation, it's safe to assume they told us this knowing well enough what they were doing.

Nothing is for sure until confirmed. You can't just say "oh, yeah, I knew there was going to be a 5th Gen" if no one said so. I mean, yeah, it was pretty obvious, but some form of confirmation is always reassuring.

Yeah it has been confirmed already and PMJ already confirmed it before locking a thread about it too. I have known about it going to happen since generation 3 when Serebii briefly mentioned something about it that it wa in the work so I have know since about 20005. I am not kidding. I knew even before generation 4 that it was going to happen. I already predict generations 6-8 going to happen already and possibly even more.:)
 
They're going to have stage 3 pokemon in 5th gen. All previous starters will get a new evo. And they're going to start fusing pokemon. Blastoise+Venusaur. Yup.
 
WHAT? There is only 7 Pokemon to generation 5? Are you sure or are all the rest evolutions? What do you mean by fusing the starters? Do you mean combine 2 in one or something else?:)
 
Do you know what is happening for real with the 5th gen? What is really going to happen?XD.LOL.:)
 
No one knows. If you remember waaay back to '07 though, they did mention that they thought about having some stage 3 Pokemon. Idk if they will. I hope they don't. Blah!
