XY The Pokerus!

So...yesterday I caught a Wartortle in the Safari Zone that had pokerus. Does anyone else have it? Is it rarer or more common? Discuss the Pokerus here.

There is some speculation that the Pokerus (and Shinyness) are a little more common now. No confirmation on that though. My suggestion is that you infect a bunch of common/easy to catch Pokemon (I highly suggest Scatterbug) and Wonder trade them to people so you can spread the disea-- fun!

Well, PokéRus has been common/worthless since gen 4 (Wi-Fi trading).

Something I've never even seen... >_<"

It's technically rarer than a Shiny Pokemon, but it can spread to all your Pokemon once you've got one with it. But if you find a compassionate soul, they may trade you an infected Pokemon..

It doubles any EV gains your Pokemon gets from defeating other Pokemon, and it stacks with the Power Items/Brace, so it effectively doubles EV training. But with the advent of Super Training, it seems kind of pointless now, especially since Pokerus was probably most important for training for Little Cup (Double the EVs made it possible to get fully trained without leveling past 5.)

So, is it something you can see, or rather, how do you know if you have it?

A Wild Pokemon has a [rarer than Shiny] chance of being infected with it.
